A new class of self-described socialists heads to Capitol Hill after Democratic midterm victories

Barring a proposed last-ditch effort to block them, a slew of Marxists supported by and actively promoting an organization determined to eliminate the U.S. Senate are on their way to Congress.

Though leftists may abhor the aphorism that a rising tide lifts all boats, they’ve never distanced themselves from such benefits. Such was the case on Election Night as the Democrats’ blue wave included a block of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) nominees and endorsements slated to be sworn in for the 120th U.S. Congress.

Setup for success in deep blue Gotham following the June primary, New York voters elected DSA members Darializa Avila Chevalier and New York State Assemblywoman Claire Valdez, as well as former DSA member and former New York City Comptroller Brand Lander to represent congressional districts covering parts of four of the five boroughs.

Despite previous warnings of the “dangerous road” for the Democrats, the radicals not only prevailed, but flaunted their points of view. For Chevalier, who defeated Congressional Hispanic Caucus chair Rep. Adriano Espaillat in New York’s Democratic primary and infamously declared on social media that she “wiped my hand on the American flag” when she forgot a napkin, this meant taking the stage wearing a keffiyeh after securing victory.

Her espoused views include denying the existence of Israel, calling for the abolishment of the police and aiming to seize private property while putting government in control of industry and eliminating borders.

Similarly radical, Valdez’s campaign site describes her as a “dual citizen of the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Nation,” a federally recognized tribe located in El Paso, Texas. She aims to abolish ICE and champions Medicare for all.

Meanwhile, Lander pulled a stunt in October to make himself a victim in Israel, where he said he was “detained” by the Israeli Defense Forces for “simply harvesting olives” while in Judea and Samaria before declaring, “The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.”

In Michigan where Islamist Abdul El-Sayed won the race for U.S. Senate, state Rep. Donavan McKinney succeeded in securing the seat of outgoing Rep. Shri Thanedar who he defeated earlier in the year in the Democratic primary. Along opposing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Israel, the politician campaigned alongside Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D) and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) while claiming the raid of the latter’s home was “fascism at its core. Weaponizing the federal government against those who simply disagree cannot stand.”

Pennsylvanian’s elected state Rep. Chris Rabb (D) who contends the U.S. has an “imperialist foreign policy” that he wants to stop, along with dismantling the military industrial complex and advancing a universal basic income.

Ahead of their victories, the DSA posted, “DSA candidates, calling in from polling location; Donavan McKinney on stream wearing a black panther pin gifted to him by Bobby Seale. Rabb wearing a Shirley Chisholm pin. They will carry the Black Radical tradition with them to the halls of congress [sic].”

As for Ethiopia-born Melat Kiros, the DSA politician pushing the platform to end the Senate and upset the system of checks and balances, Coloradans picked her despite previously faulting the victims of terrorist attacks for 9/11 and Oct. 7.

Meanwhile, prior to their victories, Texas Rep. Keith Self (R) began promoting a congressional maneuver that could prevent the lot from serving as members have a right to challenge whether or not a member-elect is sworn in.

Such a step requires proof that the member-elect would not uphold their oath to the U.S. Constitution. Self told Fox News Digital, “You cannot swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution while actively working to destroy it. The oath of office is not just words you say at a ceremony. It is a belief. It is an oath to our country and our fellow countryman.”

“The House has both the authority and the duty to ensure that anyone who takes that oath does so in good faith, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion,” he went on. “As DSA candidates and Red-Green Alliance gain ground, we must enforce the Constitution as written or risk allowing people committed to replacing it to take seats of power under false pretenses.”
