Turning Point Action volunteer slapped by raging elderly man — incident caught on video

An older man was caught on video engaging in an erratic rant toward a teenage boy before blatantly striking him in the face.

The clip, posted to X by user Austin Dunn, puts the scene at the Woodland Heights polling location in New Hampshire. The man is screaming in the face of an 18-year-old working the Turning Point Action booth before things get physical.

Watch:

“You have no idea who I am!” the man shouted at the young man, who has his hand in his pocket. “And so how dare you say I don’t know much!”

“You haven’t presented a single statistic, you haven’t-” the teen began before the much older man cut him off with more screaming.

“Neither have you! God d**n! I cannot believe that bulls**t! You sit there and dare to look me in the face and say I don’t know anything,” he said, flipping the young man off before backhanding him. “That’s what I know.”

He then walked away, likely afraid of getting the same treatment as the young student who tackled conservative Jewish activist Lizzy Benichou. That didn’t stop him from swearing at the women who called him out for his violent behavior. From behind the camera, you can hear someone advise that the police should be called as the elder continues to make his less-than-swift getaway.

A report from WMUR indicates that police were notified of the incident and are investigating. Laconia Mayor Mike Bordes also shared the video to his social media, calling the act “absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable.”
