Further proof of the Biden era’s FUBAR foreign policy came with a State Department decision to add a former honoree to the FBI’s Terror Watchlist.
Outside of the corporate media bubble and leftist echo chambers, the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, open borders, and lawfare of President Joe Biden’s administration were just some aspects of what could be described as a four-year train wreck (it had those aplenty too). Now, after a 2022 honor as an International Woman of Courage, Iraq’s former minister of finance, Taif Sami Mohammed Al Shakarchi, has been added to the FBI’s Terror Watchlist.
Under the direction of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Assistant Secretary of State for Global Public Affairs Dylan Johnson announced the revocation of the former minister’s visa, detailing how, “In 2022, [then-Secretary of State Antony] Blinken and [then-First Lady] Jill Biden celebrated Iraqi national Taif Sam Mohammed Al Shakarchi — personally presenting her with an award for advancing ‘gender equity.’ Since, Ms. Mohammed was added to the FBI’s terror watchlist.”

“This Iraqi national’s visa has now been revoked by the State Department following her placement on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Terror Watchlist. She is no longer present in the United States,” noted Johnson in an official statement shared by Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin.
The State Department official noted, “Under President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, suspected terrorists will never be allowed to remain in the United States.”

In March 2022, months before she would become minister, the then-former deputy finance minister working as director general of the Iraqi budget department was among those honored at the International Women of Courage Award where both Blinken and the first lady spoke.
“When you hear their words, hold them close to your heart. Share them with your daughters and sons, and with everyone you know,” said Biden while the secretary, who praised the “Iron Woman,” remarked, “It is often women who lead the charge for human rights, democracy, and justice; including in places where women hold much less than half of the political, economic, and social power. That’s why the equal rights and dignity of women is a foreign policy priority for the United States.”
A statement from Blinken’s State Department insisted, “She is a front-line leader against corrupt practices and has been integral in preventing and deterring financial corruption in Iraq.”

Highlighting allegations brought by GOP Reps. Joe Wilson of South Carolina and Greg Steube of Florida that the minister was a “key enabler of terrorist funding in Iraq,” Fox News noted how lawmakers called on President Donald Trump’s administration to act against the supposed facilitator of terrorist financing.
Speaking with Fox News Digital, Johnson said, “While the Biden State Department shamefully celebrated and awarded foreigners who threaten our nation, the Trump State Department revokes their visas and ensures these individuals are removed from our country.”
