Jim Acosta wants people to know he’s finally reporting “real news.”
The ex-CNN journalist was a special guest at a fundraiser for Missoula County Democrats in Montana when he made the ill-advised comments.

Acosta made a name for himself during President Trump’s first term, where he would relentlessly interrupt and harass the president during White House pressers. After being unceremoniously pushed out of CNN, he has since been trying to resurrect his career with independent journalism from his home, and his appearance at the Holiday Inn garnered plenty of snarky responses from these critics.
