Efforts at accountability found two former FBI officials labeled “dirty cops” after surrendering on charges relating to the investigation of the Biden family.
Be it the guilty plea of a former adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci, a raid on the residence of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D), or the scheduled execution of Nidal Hasan, the justice system — albeit slower than many would prefer — has marched on in its mission. Friday, that included the arrest of former Justice Department officials who allegedly lied to Congress about the investigation of Hunter Biden and the 2020 presidential election.
According to a release from the DOJ, former FBI Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) Deputy Assistant Director Nikki Floris, 46, and former FITF Section Chief Bradley Benavides, 56, surrendered on arrest warrants following a criminal complaint.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro detailed that they were charged with lying to Congress about their roles on the Foreign Influence Task Force during the 2020 election.
“Floris and Benavides allegedly lied to Congress about their roles in the FBI’s Hunter Biden investigations, with one claiming they only learned about it from Wikipedia — despite evidence showing their involvement in helping shape the public narrative about Hunter Biden’s laptop right before the election,” she explained, adding, “Lying to Congress by anyone strikes at the heart of our democratic system, but when senior FBI agents lie to Congress believing they are above the law, it’s time to bring the hammer of justice down on them.”
This morning, two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Floris, 46, and Bradley Benavides, 56, surrendered on arrest warrants after being charged with lying to Congress about their roles on the Foreign Influence Task Force during the 2020 election. “When senior officials entrusted with safeguarding our nation’s security choose deception over duty, they undermine the very institutions they swore to uphold,” asserted Pirro. “Today’s action makes clear that no one is above the law, and we will hold accountable all who obstruct the truth.”
In her July 2023 congressional testimony, when asked about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, Floris claimed, “I don’t have any knowledge of said laptop” while asserting she “did not” have any involvement in the Biden investigation. Likewise, Benavides claimed to have first learned of the investigation from Wikipedia.
Contrary to testimony on how and when they’d learned about the criminal investigation of the laptop, the Justice Department contended that Benavides organized a meeting “To Discuss Laptop,” and, when he described it as a “Russian disinformation effort” in an Oct. 16, 2020 email, Floris responded, “Looks good!”
In his own post pertaining to the arrests and charges, FBI Director Kash Patel stated, “Both testified that the FITF was not involved in the Hunter Biden investigations. Documentary evidence, contemporaneous communications, and witness accounts contradict their testimony.”
“Floris is also on record privately claiming to be ‘running a shadow government’ during the 2020 election in her role on the FITF,” reminded Patel. “Lying to Congress by senior FBI officials strikes at the heart of our system. No one is above the law. The FBI has already dismantled the corrupt CR-15 squad that engaged in political weaponization targeting their opponents, including President Trump.”
When asked if he thinks the FBI was “protecting the Bidens before the 2020 election?” President Donald Trump reacted by telling a reporter on the tarmac near Air Force One, “I don’t know exactly what it is, but I heard they were arrested or charged. And I heard they were bad people. You know, they’re crooked people. You know what they are? Dirty cops, like [former FBI Director James] Comey. Comey’s a dirty cop.”

FORMER FBI OFFICIAL NIKKI FLORIS HAS BEEN INDICTED AND ARRESTED BY THE FBI for lying to Congress about 2020 election interference.
The same official who infamously said: “I’m basically running a shadow government across the FBI at this point.”

This summer, the White House Transparency Task Force led by John Solomon uncovered documents regarding Operation Round River, an FITF endeavor to frame allegations against the Biden family and corruption connected to Ukraine as Russian disinformation.
Floris was also said to have worked to retract a tip regarding Chinese election interference via the use of “tens of thousands” of fake driver’s licenses.
To many, the announcement of arrests marked a “good start,” as suggestions on who else ought to be perp walked included Comey, his successor, former FBI Director Christopher Wray, and former CIA Director John Brennan.

Finally, a Biden DOJ employee has been indicted for criminal misconduct.
Hopefully this is only the leading wave of what should be a tsunami of lawfare accountability prosecutions.
Next up should be the FBI agents and Asst. U.S. Attorneys who committed fraud on the courts…
