‘I’m Sydney Sweeney’: Clever California pro-voter ID ad earns accolades

A parody ad using the likeness of Sydney Sweeney is earning accolades for highlighting the absurdity law-abiding voters have to deal with.

Californians for Voter ID dropped the ad in support of Prop 39, a citizen-led constitutional amendment on California’s November 3rd ballot that would prohibit citizens from voting unless they present a government-issued I.D.

And what better way to draw attention to the pro-ID proposition than to tease a glimpse of the super-sexy actress?

But, not so fast.

Just like the theme the ad promotes, these days voting without ID is ludicrous.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton called the ad “Brilliant” and shared it on X:

Sorry fellas, the AI-generated likeness of Sweeney walking away at the end is all you get.  But plenty of X users praised the snarky  and effective ad anyway:

Sydney Sweeney has not commented on the ad.
