Step aside, “fiery but mostly peaceful protests,” CBS News dropped a new shameless spin on radical riots before resorting to deletion.
Long begrudging the label of fake news, corporate media outlets have had renewed fits in recent weeks following President Donald Trump’s selective ban at the White House, along with other administration policies. Saturday, a member of the fourth estate proved once again how critical Elon Musk’s free speech absolutism on X has been when riots, looting and destruction across France were described as “Scuffles.”
In a since-deleted post, CBS News linked to a report on hundreds of arrests across France, where Limoges’ late 19th-century historic landmark Hôtel de Ville went up in flames, with the caption, “Scuffles broke out Saturday in Paris between police and small groups of protesters joining a march as part of nationwide demonstrations against rising living costs and in support of high school students’ grievances.”
Sharing video of the destructive fire along with the deleted post, Libs of TikTok wrote, “CBS just deleted this tweet calling rioters burning down Paris ‘scuffles’ after major backlash … You don’t hate the media enough.”

Following the deletion of the original post, CBS News created a new caption to link to the story, writing instead, “Protests erupt across France against rising living costs and in support of students … Editor’s note: A previous version of this post didn’t accurately describe the scene.”
Even with the narrative tweak, the story that spoke of protests attributed to “rising living costs and poor conditions in schools” failed to capture the scope of leftist intersectionality hellbent on toppling Western civilization.
On CNews in France, journalist Paul Amar reported that the rioters “came prepared. They had the addresses of town halls. They had addresses of Jewish shop owners.”
“In a street in Marseille, all businesses owned by Jews were set on fire. Businesses run by Muslims weren’t,” he indicated as images showed bearded men raiding high-end stores of goods.

Commenting toward that end, President Donald Trump once again spoke up about widespread invasion of military-age men who remain uninterested in assimilating to the culture of the countries they are occupying.
“France is burning! The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country. Close your borders and take control, before it is too late!” wrote the commander-in-chief on Sunday before he reiterated on Monday, “The migrants have taken over France. They must CLOSE THE BORDERS, FAST!”

Similarly, French politician Marine Le Pen, who is set to run for president in her country once more in the 2027 election, posted on X, “Loot, ransack, destroy, attack law enforcement: the rioters have once again poisoned the October 17 demonstrations in defense of purchasing power.”
“Legitimate social demands have once again been held hostage by the far left and the speeches of Jean-Luc Mélanchon’s deputies, who, by legitimizing violence, viewing order as oppression and disorder as a right, seek to plunge the country into chaos,” she went on. “Faced with this incendiary strategy, the French people, who can no longer bear being caught between the austerity and fiscal hammering of those in power and the insurrectionary activists, must hold out for a few more months. We will free them from Macronist toxic policies and protect them from the violence of the far left.”

In light of the most recent example of strategically described events on a mountain of similar stories, Libs of TikTok wasn’t alone in decrying corporate media and reminding us that it remains an “enemy of the people.”

@spencerpratt How long until CNN calls it a peaceful protest? https://t.co/hHNFi5zzkN

“In support of students”
It’s an anti-western cabal of Marxists, Islamists and Third Worlders. And you wonder why legacy media has so little credibility left.

I thought I hated the media sufficiently, but now I see I have to draw upon a deeper reservoir of hatred.

These aren’t for students. They are Marxists and Jihadists.
