The lawyer for an illegal alien reportedly shot by ICE opened up a can of worms on X by revealing the man’s job.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Wilber Rafael Garces Perez was involved in a vehicle stop conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when shots were fired. Perez was taken to the hospital and is said to be in “stable condition,” but it didn’t take long for activists and politicians to seize on the shooting to trash President Donald Trump’s administration.
Meanwhile, over on social media, immigration attorney Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch sparked another conversation entirely when she revealed that he was in the middle of a DoorDash delivery at the time of the stop.

It’s worth noting that, in a statement to Fox News, the attorney claimed the man previously “held a work permit,” though the current status of that permit is unclear.
“We are actively working to obtain additional information and clarify the circumstances surrounding the matter. We do not want to speculate or provide information that has not yet been confirmed. What we do understand is that he previously held a valid work permit and that, based on the information available to us, he entered the United States lawfully,” she said.
