‘Thank you, Mr. President!’ Freed American hostages appear on GOP convention stage

A group of freed hostages appeared at the American Airlines Center in Dallas during the second day of the Republican Midterm Convention, presenting President  Trump with a special plaque.

Inscribed on the plaque was the phrase, “Whoever saves one life saves the world entire.”

The group of former hostages freed by the Trump administration included Americans detained in Venezuela, Afghanistan, and Russia, as well as Ronen and Orna Neutra, the parents of Omer Neutra, an American-Israeli hostage who was killed by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, according to Fox News.

George Glezmann, a Delta Air Lines employee, was one of the freed hostages — he was abducted by the Taliban while in Afghanistan on a valid tourist visa and held without charge for 835 days. Glezmann said elections matter while pointing out that the Biden administration “left me behind.”

“Choosing who leads our country is not just about politics,” he said. “Elections have real and immediate consequences. In our cases, it was a matter of life and death.”

The legacy media has its agenda and is not about to give the Trump administration credit for anything they accomplish, no matter how positive, but the freed hostages represent a continuous effort by the administration to free Americans detained around the world.

How this effort is not more widely celebrated exposes just how committed the liberal media is to their Trump-hating agenda.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
