Trump touts ‘sold out’ Dallas convention, says audience numbers topped the NFL

President Donald Trump is declaring a major ratings win for the GOP midterm convention, where he delivered the keynote speech.

No doubt, the night was action-packed and full of surprises, with Trump making a controversial promise to give every American adult a $5,000 dividend if Republicans keep control of Congress after the midterms.

Democrat Senator John Fetterman also stunned the crowd with a video appearance where he vowed to “work with President Trump to defend the steel way of life.”

“I will ALWAYS stand for America, reject the extremes, socialism, and anti-American ways of life,” Fetterman told the approving crowd.

On Thursday, Trump took to Truth Social to declare the convention a resounding success, claiming the rating “beat the NFL.”

“The Republican Midterm Convention last night, in Dallas, was a major, sold out hit, far bigger, better, and more important than anyone thought possible,” Trump declared. “It was really something, streaming all over the place, and really big numbers, despite going up against the NFL. The overall numbers beat the NFL.”

“The Arena, which was really nice, beat its own attendance records,” Trump continued. “The place was packed! There were thousands of people outside who couldn’t get in. Screens were provided. I guess people LOVE TRUMP POLITICS! I’ll be there again tonight to close out the show. Exciting “Stuff!” MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

It’s unclear what ratings the president is referring to, but social media was abuzz Wednesday night into Thursday morning with the happenings at the convention:
