Three words on a T-shirt got these soccer fans tossed

Fans of the Portland Thorns FC, a professional women’s soccer team based out of the leftist hellhole of Portland, were booted from a game on Saturday for wearing clothing that promoted the indisputable realities of biological sex.

According to one of the fans, Amy Sousa, she and her friends had specifically been wearing “XX-XY” t-shirts from XX-XY Athletics.

“There’s two sexes; there’s men and there’s women,” Sousa proudly told local station KATU. “And XX-XY Athletics really stands firmly that sports should be designated on the basis of sex.”

For wearing these shirts, the group of eight was confronted by a stadium attendant who accused them of being “transphobic” and of “giving out information.” Sousa pushed back hard against both accusations.

“We’ve done nothing transphobic,” Sousa replied. “We literally brought the code of conduct with us and have followed it to the letter.”

And her friends were eventually handed a card notifying them of an infraction of the Providence Park and NWSL Code of Conduct before being escorted out of the stadium.

A Thorns spokesperson has since defended their being kicked out.

“During our September 6 match against the Washington Spirit, individuals were removed from Providence Park for distributing unapproved materials, a violation of the Fan Experience Guidelines at the stadium,” the spokesperson told KATU. “We are reviewing the incident.”

Sadly, the shenanigans continued even after Sousa had left the game, as she and her friends were then booted from a local women’s sports bar for the same reason as before — because the realities of biological sex offended people.

“At first, they would not give us a reason,” Sousa recalled to KATU. “At first, we were simply told that they are an inclusive restaurant and bar. And we were like, well, aren’t we included?”

“And they were like, no, your shirts are … transphobic,” she added. “They said our shirts were making someone feel unsafe. Our shirts were making someone feel unsafe.”

After they were kicked out, the “inclusive” bar published a post to Instagram doubling down on its bull and conveniently turned off the comments.

“Our mission is to SUPPORT, PROMOTE, and EMPOWER GIRLS AND WOMEN IN SPORTS, and to be clear: Trans girls are girls, and trans women are women,” the bar wrote in its Instagram post.

“We will always support and celebrate them at The Sports Bra,” the post continued. “We DO NOT TOLERATE messages or conduct that demean or exclude the very community we exist to serve and celebrate.”

Though the bar hasn’t been active on the separate social media platform X since 2025, its profile is now being inundated with criticism over its decision to make a fuss over “XX-XY” t-shirts
