‘Red-line’ crossed: Tucker Carlson goes nuclear, calls for Trump’s removal

A former ally joined the left in buzzing about impeachment of President Donald Trump over the mere consideration of a literal nuclear option.

In pushing for a shift in congressional control via the midterms, Democrats haven’t been shy about teasing the potential for lawfare and yet another impeachment of the president. The specter of tactical nuclear weapons found Tucker Carlson suggesting there’s no time to wait as he drew a “red line” and wondered why officials weren’t acting “immediately.”

Joined by guest Joe Kent, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center, the former Fox News host’s monologue spoke to Russia’s revised nuclear doctrine and both the United State’s and Israel’s willingness to employ the use of nuclear weapons offensively before raising Pentagon proposals.

“The second any president actively considers first use of nuclear weapons, that person should be removed from office immediately, immediately. Because that’s gotta be the red line, destroying all of humanity in a nuclear strike,” expressed Carlson. “Why isn’t there an attempt to remove him from office, like, immediately? Anyone who would even tolerate that kind of talk from any of his subordinates or employees is by definition unfit.”

“… not only have there been discussions about the use of nuclear weapons, tactical nukes …” against Iran, said the host during his monologue as he spoke to considered proposals by the Department of War to emphasize the use of tactical nuclear weapons that Under Secretary of War for Policy Elbridge Colby addressed in early August at a U.S. Strategic Command conference, “those discussions have included slide decks, which is to say somebody wrote down on a computer screen, hey, maybe we should use nuclear weapons in this war — this war of choice — this war that we started for objectives that have nothing to do with America’s national security or national interest.”

In supporting Carlson’s position, Kent raised the president’s rhetorical threat against Iran as Trump had warned earlier in the year, “A whole civilization will die tonight …”

“I think we would be fools to think that this couldn’t happen here in this current scenario, especially as the administration scrambles for a way out,” stated the former official who had appeared with Carlson, former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) and outgoing Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie (R) in a photo suggesting alignment on third party opposition.

The president subsequently mocked the troupe a week prior to Carlson’s impeachment call, posting in part on Truth Social, “Tucker Carlson just met with Lightweight ‘Former’ Congressman, Thomas Massie, and Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene, LOSERS ALL!”

“What a team this would be,” added Trump, “THREE LOSERS, and a pocketful of change! The only chance they have is to join the Radical Left Dumocrats, and try breaking into the Primary System. To all of them I say, PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!”

At the time of this post, the commander-in-chief had yet to respond to Carlson’s remarks, but social media users readily suggested the Sharia-praising, Qatar property owner should be removed from the country.
