British national Milo Yiannopoulos, a former Breitbart editor, was arrested by ICE agents at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on August 27. The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that the man will be deported to the United Kingdom. Yiannopoulos entered the country legally through New York City on May 14, 2019, but chose to remain in the country illegally after that time.
DHS said that Yiannopoulos is an illegal alien under federal law. A federal immigration judge issued a final deportation order for Yiannopoulos on July 22 after he failed to appear for his hearing. He is currently in ICE custody and is being processed for removal from the country, reported Breitbart.
Yiannopoulos was given the chance by the Trump administration to self-deport for $3,000 and a free flight to wherever he wanted in the world through the CBP Home App. Instead, Yiannopoulos chose wrong and will be deported against his will.
The controversial podcast host Laura Loomer, who has been engaged in a very public feud with the former editor for years, contacted both ICE and the FBI in 2024 and again in 2025 to inform them of Yiannopoulos’ calls for her assassination, as well as his support for terrorist organizations including Hamas and Iran’s Ayatollah while he was operating in the country on an expired visa.
No one is above the law. Everyone — regardless of notoriety, politics or past career — is subject to the same rules and is considered an illegal alien if they are in the country illegally.
