It was reported on Monday that British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, made his first foreign trip as PM to Kyiv to celebrate Ukraine’s 35th anniversary of Independence with President Zelensky. He handed the President a weapon that the European Commission have been sitting on for years – classified blueprints to build Storm Shadow (SCALP/AS-34) cruise missiles on Ukrainian soil.

MBDA have been given permission by Prime Minister Andy Burnham to declassify classified component specifications for the SCALP long-range cruise missile, that will enable local manufacture of the missile in Ukraine. Burnham is also launching “Project Brakestop” to accelerate affordable, long-range strike weapons for the Ukrainian military.

The Russians are saying this decision will add to the fire. But I think the PM intends it to add to the fire. I think that’s what he’s decided to do.

It’s not just a case of shipping off some munitions from Western stockpiles. What is being established in Ukraine is a permanent military-industrial complex which will inevitably fall under the control of the Ukrainians.

Zelensky addressed a crowded St. Michael’s Cathedral in the historic Upper Town area of Kyiv saying Ukraine “absolutely wants peace” but is “not ready to simply surrender” and that “every next day of peace is won by the blood of Ukrainian heroes” as he called on NATO to introduce a no-fly zone and supply the army with longer range strike systems.

Andy Burnham called the conflict in Ukraine another battle for the UK’s freedom, comparing it to the Second World War and Britain’s fight against Nazi Germany. “Ukraine’s security is our security,” he boasted. He then chaired a meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, urging for more involvement by NATO in the conflict with Russia on Ukraine’s borders.

Of course, this is nonsense. Ukraine is the Nazi-adjacent country here.

The globalist war machine at Downing Street is running to go to war with Russia over Ukraine – and will make a fortune out of it. Meanwhile, Britain is not even being defended by its leaders.

Sensitive components for the production of arms will be transferred to a highly corruption-prone country and could end up where they should not, long after the initial intention to help Ukraine have worn off.

Even more disturbing, however, is the very real danger that these cutting-edge technologies could end up in the hands of the Chinese military, one of America’s greatest adversaries. The components and blueprints for these cutting-edge technologies will, no doubt, be subject to ‘brute force’ cyber attacks of the kind already used by China against many organizations around the world, including several British universities.

Even more likely is they will simply be sold to the CCP. Everything in Ukraine has a price; it is one of the most corrupt places on the globe.

Once fallen into the hands of the Chinese military, these technologies will be replicated and adapted in China’s military complexes and industrial bases, eventually being integrated into the military systems of other rogue states.

This is a catastrophic defense failure dressed up as an act of solidarity with Ukraine.

Furthermore, once the component architecture for a weapon has been declassified it can no longer be guaranteed that the air-strike capability that it will form will be technologically superior to that of potential adversaries. This is the core of the NATO air defense strategy that has cost the West billions of dollars over decades to develop. Once this sensitive information has been revealed to the intelligence services of a potential adversary it can never be ‘unrevealed’.

It will also cause great concern to the Trump administration. A Labour government is taking actions which are against the strategic interests of the USA whilst it is still a member of the NATO alliance. The actions of member governments of the NATO alliance which individually and collectively could degrade and weaken the military technology and resources of the West, and bring closer the possibility of war with nuclear-armed adversaries such as Russia and China, are yet another reason why the USA should leave the NATO alliance.

As long as the key governments in Europe are premier servants of globalist interests it would be the height of naivety for the United States to continue membership of NATO. Member governments are taking decisions which collectively and severally degrade the military technology of the West. They bring the alliance closer to war with a nuclear-armed Russia, leaving the British people to bear the consequences.

For its part, Moscow has consistently maintained that the supply of weapons that could be used to attack deep within Russian territory would be considered an act of aggression. This week the Wall Street Journal reported that US intelligence had warned of the possibility of a Russian attack on NATO before the current conflict in Ukraine is brought to an end. Zelensky has been preparing his nation for a long conflict with Russia, stating he expects to be waging war with the former for up to 10 years.

None of the points outlined above are in the best interests of Britain, of NATO or of the USA. All of them serve the interests of a particular ideological project to sustain a permanent NATO-Russia conflict. Whatever number of lives are lost, however much treasure is squandered, whatever number of military secrets of the West are lost – it doesn’t matter.

The British people did not vote for nuclear war. The American people did not vote for their most sensitive technology to be shipped off to Ukraine to be sent to China. They are being told by their governments that this is what is going on.

The Kremlin’s Response: Direct And Unambiguous

As noted earlier, Russia considers Britain to be taking part in the war against it on the side of Ukraine, together with the US. Britain is a co-belligerent. It is systematically and regularly adding fuel to the fire of the conflict in Ukraine and is working to undermine the peace process.

Russia views Britain as working against a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. “Britain is systematically and regularly adding fuel to the fire of the conflict in Ukraine and working to undermine the peace process,” said the statement from the Russian government.

And on nightly missile and drone attacks against Ukrainian cities, Moscow repeated: “The Ukrainian authorities, having opened Pandora’s box, are feeling the consequences of their actions every night and will continue to do so.” This is a message not only to Kyiv but also to London.

Britain’s governing class seems determined to hand the Ukrainians the components to build long range missiles to add to the daily fusillade of rockets and drones now pounding the cities of Ukraine, and Russia, and then shrug its shoulders and say, “This is not our war.”
