Trump teases familiar name as possible replacement for Karoline Leavitt

President Donald Trump has some suggestions for who could replace his outgoing White House press secretary.

Karoline Leavitt is leaving the position, which Trump says has resulted in a large number of people clamoring for a shot at becoming his next spokesperson. He threw out some names while speaking to reporters, proving he’s considering some heavy hitters.

Watch:

“Maybe you, maybe you,” he said, gesturing to some of the reporters in front of him.

“What about Scott Jennings, sir?” one man asked.

“Scott Jennings is good. That one right there,” he said, pointing to another reporter. “My friend from Iowa! But I don’t know, maybe she doesn’t want it. I don’t know, maybe Margo [Martin]? What do you think of Margo?”

“I will tell you this, and Karoline will tell you this. I have never had so many job applications in my life. They all want that job. They love that job. She’s made that job very glamorous,” he said, speaking of Leavitt, who was standing next to him.

But the press secretary isn’t stepping out of politics entirely. Speaking to reporters on Friday, she confirmed that she will be returning to Trump’s super PAC MAGA Inc., where she worked prior to being brought on to the president’s 2024 campaign. She did not reveal the capacity in which she will be serving, and MAGA Inc. has not yet released a statement.
