The active-duty U.S. Air Force Major who was arrested last month at the U.S. Capitol while calling for President Trump’s impeachment was detained again.
Major Jason Watson’s attorney, Chris Mutimer, said his client was arrested while on duty and taken to a county jail on Tuesday.
Preceding his second arrest, Watson had reportedly told his chain of command that he would “no longer be wearing his uniform,” Mutimer told CNN’s Erin Burnett on Wednesday.
Watson had also publicly criticized the Trump administration on Burnett’s show days before he was arrested for the second time.

A U.S. Air Force spokesperson confirmed that Watson had been detained for “pretrial confinement,” according to The Hill. Watson’s case is still “under investigation,” and the Airman has not yet been formally charged, according to the Air Force spokesperson.
While the left cried over a wrongly perceived “Free Speech” foul over the Trump administration’s actions against Watson, others cited Watson’s unlawful conduct while being an active-duty military member and argued it should not be tolerated:
A military member cannot call for his commander and chief’s impeachment while in uniform.
This is not complicated or controversial.
It’s insubordination at a minimum.
