Federal Communications Commission (FCC) boss Brendan Carr had a perfect response to ABC-Disney’s claim that “The View” is a legitimate “news” program.
The network has argued that the long-running popular daytime gabfest is not subject to equal time rules to provide airtime to opposing political views and candidates because it is a “bona fide news program” despite the one-sided diatribes of the shrieking left-wing harpies who have relentlessly shilled for the Democratic Party.
Whether “The View” qualifies is a matter that is currently in dispute, but the evidence that it is a political operation is as plentiful as it is damning.
In a post sharing a collection of video clips posted to X on Thursday, Carr makes his case that should settle the argument once and for all in the best way possible – just take it straight from the nags’ own mouths.
“Disney is arguing to the FCC that its ABC show The View is a ‘bona fide news program,’” Carr wrote. “Disney claims that its decisions are based on ‘newsworthiness’—rather than partisan purposes—and thus exempt from political equal time rules. Here’s some of the show.”

The compilation posted by the FCC chief was compiled by the Media Research Center’s Nicholas Fondacaro and features the whole motley crew, and it sure as heck looks more like an unofficial propaganda operation of the DNC than any sort of “bona fide news program” like the network claims.
“The FCC will make its decision based on all relevant evidence and precedents,” Carr added, giving credit to Fondacaro for the fine work.
“For nearly four decades, the Media Research Center (MRC) has been an unrelenting media watchdog and a counterforce to activism in America’s newsrooms, broadcast networks, and Big Tech platforms. As such, the MRC is uniquely qualified to respond to the Commission’s request for comment on Disney/ABC’s petition to declare that the daytime television program The View qualifies as a bona fide news interview program,” MRC President David Bozell wrote in a letter to FCC division chief Maria Mullarkey last month.
“ABC claims that its daytime television program The View is a ‘bona fide news interview program’ and thus should be exempt from Congress’s equal opportunity rules. This claim is belied by the facts,” the MRC chief said in the letter, which was obtained by Fox News Digital.
“While The View may once have qualified for an exemption, the evidence shows that it has for years operated for political purposes and is therefore not entitled to an exemption to the law,” Bozell added.
President Donald J. Trump has fiercely criticized the show, which clearly has a vendetta against him.
Carr denied that the FCC is engaging in censorship or acting as the “speech police” in a recent interview with Dasha Burns of Politico.

“I don’t view the FCC as the speech police,” he said during the chat on “The Conversation” podcast, adding that “we should be appropriately applying and enforcing the laws that Congress passed,” also reminding the host that networks are under the obligation to promote the “public interest.”
“I think in the media space in particular, the FCC over the last 20 or 30 years really backed away from the regulatory framework that Congress put in place,” he said. “And I don’t think it’s been a good thing, either in terms of our job of administering the law or the outcome that we’re seeing across the media sector.”
Any unbiased observer can clearly see that “The View” and its gang of co-hosts are only interested in giving their devoted audience one side of the story: the Democrat side.
“Fifteen percent of people would eat gas station sushi,” Carr told Burns, lamenting the decline of public faith in the so-called guardians of Democracy. “Only 8 percent of people say they have a great deal of trust” in the mainstream media.
