Attorney Ben Crump has vowed “no peace” in Wisconsin over the officer-involved shooting death of an ex-con.
It started when Corey Ruiz was confronted by police, who tried to arrest the man on suspicion of breaking into vehicles near Madison, Wisconsin. Police Chief John Patterson claims that he physically resisted even after being tased, and then pulled a knife and injured an officer. Ruiz, an ex-con who was reportedly homeless with a history of drug abuse and criminal behavior, was shot as three officers struggled to detain him.
Now, the dead man’s family joined Crump for a press conference where he confirmed that he believes the officers involved should be charged.
“The way he shot him repeatedly? Yes,” the attorney, who has represented the families of George Floyd and Michael Brown, said. He added that “there will be no peace and business as usual in Madison, Wisconsin,” until the authorities are held to account for the shooting death.
“It’s the racist police background,” one supporter shouted from the crowd.
Meanwhile, a homicide investigation is currently underway by state investigators, and Crump is claiming that video of the incident doesn’t prove that Ruiz harmed any officer with a knife, or even had one in the first place.
“We’re looking hard to see where this alleged ‘cut’ happened,” he said during the conference.
“You don’t see no officers cut!” someone in the audience yelled.

If the family really cared, why would they let him be homeless? I’m sorry, but the family is looking for a payday, and that’s all they care about. And Ben Crump doesn’t care that this guy was shot. He just sees big money signs.

How is this allowed and didn’t this little criminal have a knife and stabbed a cop. And they are protesting for him?? What’s wrong with the black community??

Ben Crump is a grifting dirt bag who prays on the vulnerable and burns down cities.

How could they possibly charge a cop who was stabbed by the suspect who was resisting arrest with a knife?

When either Ben Crump or Gloria Allred show up, you know the grift train has pulled into the station.

Wow are you kidding me ? I expect to get shot too if I stab a cop. Charge Crump with incitement and have him personally pay for any riots and/or looting resulting from his words.
