Former MSNBC host Joy Reid lashed out at the Democratic Party over taking its voters for granted, blasting it for what she sees as exploiting the loyalty of constituents who are treated like the hired help.
The race-baiting hate monger tore into the party amid the current groundswell of anti-incumbent sentiment that has boosted far-left socialist candidates in recent primaries, rejecting the idea to “Vote Blue No Matter Who” because politicians consistently fail to deliver on their promises.
Reid went off during Sunday’s edition of “The Joy Reid Show,” her YouTube podcast, scolding the party for demanding obedience from its supporters while selling them out for pennies on the dollar.

“You’re treating us like we’re obligated to obey you,” she ranted. “You want obedience, not passion. Obedience, first of all, we ain’t giving you obedience, because you’ve not obeyed us,” complaining that the party elite acts like voters are “employees.”
Among the examples of betrayal of the base singled out by Reid was the “Build Back Better” schemes that were the centerpiece of former President Joe Biden’s domestic agenda. She said that while much of the legislation was advertised as help for “ordinary” people with subsidized daycare and other freebies, it was “sabotaged” by moderate former Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), which Reid cites as proof of the party’s disregard for its voters.
The self-proclaimed “liberated Democrat” also castigated the party for its shortage of “fighters” cut from the same cloth as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, an unrepentant socialist who has been crowned as a “kingmaker” after candidates that he backed swept the New York City primaries last month.
“The leaders are supposed to be obedient to the people, not the other way around,” she declared. “Ya’ll want obedience, you don’t want our passion. You want our obedience, you want us to obey you. We should not obey.”
An overflowing fountain of outrage, Reid may no longer have a cable TV platform but still appeals to the zanies and dead-enders with her caustic takes on President Trump, the GOP, Israel and traditional America, all served up with a generous dollop of the racism that’s been her stock in trade since the MSNBC days.
In one tirade last month, “the race lady” spewed her venom over the Fourth of July, falsely linking the celebration of America’s birthday to – you guessed it – slavery.

“In many ways, and with apologies to my spicy white friends, because I know that my white brothers and sisters do love a Fourth of July. It is Independence Day, everybody’s barbecuing, it’s a thing,” Reid ranted last month.
“I can promise you, black folks, we will take that day off. We will barbecue because we off. But black people – Nobody black I know is really excited about the 4th of July, because it is exactly what Frederick Douglass said it is, it is the celebration of slaveholders who freed themselves from having to pay taxes to the Crown for their slave empire, and that is what it is,” she proclaimed.
