Meddling Obama meets with PM Carney on a ‘better future’ while in Toronto – and he’s not alone

Global interloper Barack Obama is at it again as he met with Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney during his visit to give a speech at a think tank in Toronto.

The former president was in town to deliver the keynote address at Canada 2020’s 20th Anniversary Gala at the Fairmont Royal York, a swanky hotel where he was swooned over by the influential attendees.

Obama was warmly greeted by the Canadian leader, who hailed his visit and posted a video of him shaking hands with the meddling Democrat to social media on Friday.

“Welcome back to Canada, President @BarackObama,” Carney wrote. “Thank you for joining us in Toronto for important conversations on how we can build a better and more just future — and empower more people to build with us.”

Obama officially visited the northern neighbor three times during his tenure in the White House. He met with then-PM Stephen Harper in Ottawa in 2009 and attended the G8 and G20 summits and the North American Leaders’ Summit, according to the CBC.

The hookup with the leftist Canadian leader and Obama’s reputation as a meddler had some suggesting that he is undermining President Donald J. Trump in violation of the Logan Act, a federal law prohibiting U.S. citizens from negotiating with foreign governments in disputes with the United States.

“Barack Obama is up in CANADA holding private discussions with Prime Minister Mark Carney. Obama needs to sit down and figure out his freaking place before his ass ends up in prison for violating the Logan Act,” one top MAGA influencer said in a post to X. “Trump is our President. You’ve been sidelined, Hussein.”

“Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both,” the 1799 Logan Act states, according to Cornell Law School’s website.

Also attending the Canadian gala was none other than Alex Soros, son and inheritor of the nefarious George Soros’ global political influence empire.

Other Democrats of note who traveled to Canada included former Biden Transportation Secretary and 2028 White House hopeful Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), a former CIA analyst and member of the “Seditious Six” Democrats who last year urged military members to disobey lawful orders from President Donald J. Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth.

It’s not the first time that Obama’s foreign gallivanting has raised eyebrows. In 2024, the former president made a previously unannounced visit to No. 10 Downing Street, where he met with then-British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, also drawing accusations that he was violating the Logan Act.
