Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is giving members of his own party cause for concern in Ohio.
Despite winning his primary race on Tuesday, Republicans in the state wonder if he is set to lose in his own home state against Amy Acton, the woman who led the Ohio Department of Health during COVID.
Look:
The truth of the matter is this. Vivek won this election with many variables that support a candidate who had money, power and elitist agenda behind it.
Vivek isnt on Spaces talking to the common man/woman of Ohio. Vivek isnt answering DMs from random voters.

“Vivek isn’t on Spaces talking to the common man/woman of Ohio. Vivek isn’t answering DMs from random voters. Vivek isn’t going to BE the Governor in a state that bounces from red to blue every 2-3 cycles. Amy Acton will now control our state’s future. Not even 800k showed out to vote for this primary. Most didnt know about [Republican gubernatorial candidate Casey Putsch] because the GOP purposely pushed out their chosen candidate far earlier in 2025 than necessary. Part of me wants Vivek to win in November so Ohio can see the ruin he wants to bring to Ohio, but I think we’ll be getting plenty of that now that [Acton] has all the cards,” he added. “Vivek can’t pull 1% for POTUS, Vivek was pushed out of DOGE, Vivek had failed Roviant scam, Vivek hates white culture, Vivek is only checking the box on his resume to run in 2028 for POTUS.”
“Sad day and time for Ohio and America. The common man can no longer win a fair, balanced election in America any longer. Our politics belong to rich billionaire elites of the establishment that will continue appointing and anointing their successors. [Putsch,] we are proud of the campaign you ran. All the critics are the same people that will NEVER have the balls to do the same. Thank you, again, for trying to save Ohio,” his post concluded.

“The Ohio backslide is a big story,” Matt Gaetz wrote, sharing PolyMarket odds on Democrats winning Ohio’s governorship following Ramaswamy’s primary win.
Others believe in a similar outcome:
Vivek is going to be in for a rude awakening in November. Amy Acton is inevitable.

so the real strategy is to vote for Acton… the Ohio General Assembly (House & Senate) is OVERWHELMINGLY republican and will just stalemate Amy Acton. They can even overturn her veto.
If Vivek wins… then Republican Party leaders will push his agenda by threats.

Ohio Republicans: Christ is King.
Vivek: Christ is not King.
Ohio Rs: You have my vote and loyalty, forever.
Congrats to Vivek Ramaswamy on winning the Ohio Republican primary. And congrats to Amy Acton on winning Governor in November by a landslide. pic.twitter.com/u8iEn8axFl

Amy Acton just won the Democratic primary for Ohio Governor.
She’s a 53% favorite to beat Vivek Ramaswamy in November.
The same Ohio that Trump won by 11 points in 2024.

But some insist that the right is clutching its pearls prematurely:
Christian conservative Ohio voter here.
Your take is so dumb. Ohio hasnt voted a dem for governor in 20 years. We aren’t about to now. We remember amy Acton shutting the state down. We know she wants to limit the 2A and she’s pro abortion. Vivek is the easy winner here.
