If you are the thrill-seeker type, then it may be time to book your next vacation to St. Maarten (Dutch side) in the Caribbean.

What better way to enjoy the beach than to have planes almost land on top of you, I guess.

More fun: When planes take off, the jet blast blows people across the beach.

I however will pass. I used up 8 of my 9 lives a few decades ago riding in a van in the mountains of Sri Lanka. The driver was 80+-years-old, and he was whipping around corners— without any guardrails— and a few times we were close to going over the edge.

For some time initially, I got a close-up view in the passenger front seat. My daredevil Canadian friends seated in the back found it most entertaining. I didn’t.
