The critical Maine Senate race will pit Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) against left-wing Democrat Graham Platner as the longtime incumbent finds herself in a serious battle to hold onto her seat.
Current Maine Governor Janet Mills suspended her Senate campaign on Thursday, clearing the way for the Bernie Sanders-backed oyster farmer who has drawn criticism over his past anti-police rhetoric and for once sporting a “Nazi” tattoo, a development that now has Democrats rallying around him, smelling an opportunity to retake control of the upper chamber of Congress.
Except for Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), who didn’t sugarcoat his feelings about Platner.
In remarks reported by NOTUS’s Igor Bobic, the hoodie-clad Pennsylvanian branded the rising Democrat star as an “a**hole” and referred to his controversial skin art.
Fetterman on Graham Platner:
“Democrats really, really like Platner in Maine, but the Republicans fucking love him.”
“If Maine wants an asshole with a Nazi tattoo on his chest, they get him.”

“Democrats really, really like Platner in Maine, but the Republicans f**king love him,” Fetterman said. “If Maine wants an a**hole with a Nazi tattoo on his chest, they get him.”
It is unclear whether Fetterman was referring to the tattoo being the focus of GOP attack ads or if he was trying to suggest that Republicans are Nazi-friendly, a smear that his party has deployed with much success in revving up their gullible and emotionally unstable base, who live in a fantasy that President Donald J. Trump is the second coming of Hitler.
Platner has denied that the ink was in any way intended to show support for the murderous ideology responsible for the state-sponsored genocide of 6 million jews during WW II.
But the pictures speak for themselves, and the tat bears a striking resemblance to a Totenkopf.

Graham Platner, a 41-year-old Democratic Senate candidate in Maine, just admitted he got a Totenkopf skull tattoo (the Nazi SS symbol) while drunk with Marines in Croatia in 2007:

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) website: “‘A Totenkopf’ is German for ‘death’s head’ or skull and typically refers to a skull-and-crossbones image. During the Nazi era, Hitler’s Schutzstaffel (SS) adopted one particular Totenkopf image as a symbol. Among other uses, it became the symbol of the SS-Totenkopfverbande (one of the original three branches of the SS, along with the Allgemeine SS and the Waffen SS), whose purpose was to guard the concentration camps.”

“Following the war, neo-Nazis and other white supremacists resurrected the Totenkopf as a hate symbol because of its importance to the SS and it has been a common hate symbol since. It is this particular image of a skull and crossbones that is considered a hate symbol, not any image of a skull and crossbones,” the ADL states.
“It’s safe to say we are confident going into Election Day,” RNC spokeswoman Kristen Cianci said in a statement branding Platner as “a Nazi sympathizing self-proclaimed communist with a record of hate-mongering and dishonesty.”
But not even an “*sshole” with a Third Reich tattoo would be motivation for Fetterman to vote for Collins, even though she has been a major thorn in President Donald J. Trump’s side, along with a handful of her fellow RINO senators.
“No, I don’t have any — I’m not in it,” Fetterman told Bobic when asked if he could see himself supporting Collins.
