Earlier this month, KMOV TV news in St. Louis reported that a female worker at an area Steak ‘n Shake restaurant was killed during an argument over onion rings.

Her distraught mother spoke to KMOV: “Instead of [soon] celebrating her birthday, I’ll be burying my daughter, for some senseless act.”

A second worker was also shot, but at the time of reporting was expected to survive.

Recently, a 20-year-old woman was charged with the murder at the drive-thru. She was being held on one million dollar, cash-only bail.

The victim’s family and supporters were holding a vigil in the Steak ‘n Shake parking lot when it was announced that a suspect had been charged.

The victim’s cousin said, “We will be pushing for the death penalty, not for revenge, but to set an example.”
