Rep Burchett explains why he believes aliens exist: ‘We’ve seen too much’

Republican Rep. Tim Burchett has been preparing Americans for years about the possibility of UFOs and alien lifeforms in proximity to planet Earth.

This week, the Tennessee conservative doubled down, making bolder claims about confidential information he’s been privy to despite a rash of mysterious deaths of top scientists and researchers tied to space, energy, and UAP phenomena.

When asked on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” if he believed in aliens, Burchett did not mince words.

“Yes, sir, I do,” he replied before speaking of possible alien interpretations in the Bible.

“Genesis one, chapter one, ‘God created the heavens and the earth.’ You look at the Book of Ezekiel, Ezekiel saw the wheel, and it described a wheel within a wheel with some sort of landing craft,” Burchett explained.

“We’ve seen too much. I’ve seen too much,” Burchett continued. “Not myself personally, but when I’ve been briefed by government officials, video, pictures. Some of the best-trained pilots in the world have described having close collisions with some sort of aircraft or apparatus, and so I think it’s time that they come clean.”

Morgan pressed Burchett on “proof” and asked if he’s personally seen it.

“Have I seen a craft or anything fly over me that was unidentifiable? No, sir, I have not personally,” Burchett said. “I have to question why a pilot, some of the best in the world, would risk their reputations coming forth and telling me this stuff.”

Burchett said he doesn’t hold much hope that the federal government will come clean with the information they are allegedly holding from the American people.

“I don’t know if it’s about little green men or flying saucers, Mr. Morgan, but I do think it’s about disclosure, it’s about transparency, and as a member of the media, you should be all for that regardless. I just want to know what we’re spending tens of millions of dollars on.”

Part of Burchett’s interview can be viewed below:

During another interview this week on NewsNation’s “Elizabeth Vargas Reports,” Burchett reiterated his belief and explained why the objects being seen can’t be man-made.

“I’ve seen pictures and video of things that defy any reason that we have, and everybody says, ‘Well, it’s our stuff, it’s the Russians, it’s the Chinese.’”

“If it’s the Chinese, ma’am, they would own us. If it was the Russians, they wouldn’t be bogged down in Ukraine,” Burchett said.

“If it was ours, we would never risk our military fighting men and women in half-a-billion-dollar aircraft out with these things that they’re spotting,” he continued.

“These things can hover for hours on end, then they can just shoot straight up, they can do angles.”

Burchett urged for transparency and said that the American people “can handle it.”

“At some point, just put it out there and let people decide.”

The National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) has seen a “notable uptick in UFO/UAP sightings in 2025” that is continuing into 2026, according to Grok. Increased awareness and reduced stigma might be factors in the sizable rise of UFO reports, Grok noted.

President Trump has long promised disclosure on the subject and promised “first releases” of information are coming “very, very soon.”

“We found many very interesting documents, I must say,” Trump said April 17 at a Turning Point USA event. “So, you can go out and see if that phenomenon is correct.”
