Immigration authorities have issued a detainer for an illegal alien who was arrested for incest and sexual misconduct with a child.
The 43-year-old illegal alien, Luis Armando Argueta Montejo, was booked by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office around 9:46 am last Thursday, immediately following his arrest.
The arrest occurred days after an investigation was launched following an underage victim giving birth to a child in the parking lot of the Oconee County Memorial Hospital, according to local station WHNS.
Based on evidence, the police soon determined that Montejo had engaged in sexual activity with the girl between 2022 and 2025, though it’s still not entirely clear if he’s the father of her baby.
“Both the juvenile and the baby were placed into Emergency Protective Custody, and both are in a safe environment,” WHNS notes.

Montejo has been charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree, and one count of incest. He’s reportedly been given an $80,000 surety bond
Meanwhile, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged an arrest detainer for Montejo.
“This sicko should NEVER have been in our country to prey on children in the first place,” acting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement. “He now faces charges for incest and multiple child sex crimes. Prior to these horrific crimes, this illegal alien lacked a criminal record in the U.S.”
“Under Secretary Mullin, ICE lodged an arrest detainer with South Carolina to ensure this monster is never loose in our communities again. Thankfully, South Carolina cooperates with ICE law enforcement. This is why we need cooperation from state and local partners, so together we can keep criminals off our streets and make America safe again,” she added.

Bis was right about South Carolina — it does honor ICE detainers. The same cannot be said of New York, which is refusing to place an immigration detainer on an illegal alien arsonist allegedly responsible for multiple deaths.
Around 11:43 am on March 16, Mexican illegal alien Roman Ceron Amatitla entered a three-story apartment building in NYC, according to a press release from Queens County District Attorney Melinda Katz’s office.
He left a minute later but remained “in the vicinity of the property for another 15 minutes” before urinating in front of the building. He then entered and left the apartment building two more times.
Amatitla then reportedly crossed the street, entered a gas station, purchased a beer, stole another beer, and demanded a free lighter. After being told that lighters aren’t free, he settled for a pack of matches.
The illegal alien subsequently returned to the apartment building, reportedly set a piece of paper on fire, and placed it on top of a pile of garbage. As smoke began to fill the building, Amatitla watched the building burn.
The ramifications of his actions were horrific.
“Hong Zhao, a 64-year-old male, leaped from a building window and sustained multiple broken bones and brain trauma. He was pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital at 2:30 p.m.,” the press release continues.
In addition, two New York firefighters were injured when “the staircase connecting the first floor to the second and third floors collapsed,” and they fell to the basement.
Another four “building occupants” were injured while jumping from the building, while a fifth “occupant” was rescued from a second-floor window.
Amatitla has since been charged with eight counts of murder in the second degree, arson in the first degree, and more. The problem is that NYC officials are now refusing to honor a detainer request from ICE.
