Critics who speak out against Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., are reportedly facing severe and brutal retaliation.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0The New York Post<\/a><\/em>, the man claimed he was brutally beaten outside a Kenyan restaurant in 2022 and believes it was related to a popular Somalian TikToker who allegedly threatened to \u201cpunch him in the face\u201d if the man ever set foot in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got jumped by 15 people and was pepper-sprayed,\u201d the anonymous critic recalled. \u201cAfter that I don\u2019t really remember what happened. All I know is I was thrown to the ground and had so many punches and kicks thrown at me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was attacked because of this man. He set his followers on me after sharing my location,\u201d he suspected.<\/p>\n

According to The Post, the same TikTok creator complained of people in the \u201ccommunity\u201d who have \u201csnitched\u201d on the lawmaker.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are people in our community who have snitched on Ilhan Omar, as well as gone after her father,\u201d he reportedly said. \u201cPeople have looked the other way for too long, you bitches.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even local reporters have had a difficult time covering Omar, as claims of racism and xenophobia were quickly thrown at anyone who dared to question anything about her, such as her background and policies.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeanwhile, one Post source within the community received a chilling phone call, telling him to recant anything he had ever said about Omar and to instead issue statements of support for her ahead of the midterms,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

The source claimed that they \u201cfeel very threatened for simply disagreeing with anything to do with Ilhan Omar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t support her, then these people online really want to make you pay. I am fearful of my life every single day. I wish I never said anything about her,\u201d they added. \u201cI get death wishes every day, and I am afraid to leave my home. On the rare occasions I do, I am verbally abused or, worse, actually physically assaulted.\u201d<\/p>\n

To be clear, there is no confirmation that any of these groups are actually connected to Omar, or that she knows of the actions they are allegedly taking on her behalf.<\/p>\n

One man based in Somalia, known as Aardile, claimed to have put a hit out on the Minnesota man who was quoted speaking negatively about Omar in a report.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are sending people after you, they\u2019re going to put you in hospital and in a coma,\u201d he proudly stated in a video online.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart sank when I heard that because these people are not a joke, they\u2019re dangerous,\u201d the source told The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stayed in bed for the entire week and could not face going outside in fear of being shot dead at any moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another outright told him \u201cyou are going to be killed\u201d and labelled him a \u201csnake.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Post also heard a chilling seven-minute phone call made by a \u201cleading member\u201d of the Somali community in the city to someone speaking against the congresswoman.<\/p>\n

The source was explicitly told to say \u201cI lied about Omar because we were arguing\u201d and to publish a message of support for her ahead of the elections.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It remains to be seen if Omar will address the alleged retaliation publicly.<\/p>\n
