President Donald Trump has a plan in the event that Democrats win big in the midterm elections.<\/p>\n

Sitting down with Miranda Devine\u2019s\u00a0Pod Force One<\/em>, Trump revealed the strategy he would adopt if his political opponents were to regain power in the House and\/or Senate. He says he will simply flex his veto muscles.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we\u2019ve done is amazing,\u201d he said of his administration\u2019s work on illegal immigration and the economy. \u201cI mean, we have the strongest borders we\u2019ve ever had. We have the best numbers we\u2019ve ever had. You saw the numbers come out the other day. Even the numbers on confidence came out. The numbers were phenomenal. We haven\u2019t seen numbers like that in years. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world, and every leader knows it. Our military is the strongest. I built the military in my first term \u2013 and a lot in this term too \u2013 but we have the best military. We have the best financial, in the whole world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no country that\u2019s doing business like we are. Again, I say it all the time: we have $22.2 2 trillion investment coming in. We\u2019ve created $25 trillion worth of wealth. We\u2019ve never done anything-\u201d the president added.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, what\u2019s left to do in the next year?\u201d Devine probed.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep it going. I\u2019ll tell you the most important thing is to keep it going. It\u2019s going to get better and better and better. Unless people come in that hate our country,\u201d Trump responded. \u201cWe\u2019re not going to let that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou still be able to do what you do, work with Democrats, even if they do?\u201d Devine wondered.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, if that happens, I\u2019ll become Mr. Veto,\u201d he admitted. \u201cAnd then at some point we\u2019ll probably make deals; that\u2019s what\u2019s happened. This wouldn\u2019t be the first time. You\u2019ll have a president, and you won\u2019t have the House or the Senate; they\u2019ll be sending stuff up, you veto it, and eventually, after a month or two of getting all vetoed, they\u2019re just wasting [time], they come over, and you make a deal. I think that would probably happen, but hopefully we don\u2019t have to worry about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey want to call you a lame duck, but do you think you\u2019ll go quietly?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I\u2019d love to run again if I had the chance, but the language is very exacting. I would love to run. They had a poll the other day where I\u2019d beat everybody by so much. I\u2019d love to run, but it\u2019s fine. You know, we have more than two years left. That\u2019s a long time. You can do a lot in that period of time. And you\u2019ve seen the job we\u2019ve done,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
