Alaska\u2019s ballot confusion may prove more than a localized plot as a top Republican pointed across the Senate aisle at a Democrat he believes \u201cschemed and colluded \u2026 to deceive the voters.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week, suspicion\u2019s turned into full-blown investigations in the Land of the Midnight Sun following a report from The New York Times that allegedly tied Alaska Rep. Mary Peltola\u2019s campaign to the Democrats\u2019 campaign arm in a scheme to recruit a decoy candidate to run against the incumbent Republican, Sen. Dan S. Sullivan.<\/p>\n

Now, as both Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy<\/a> (R) and the Justice Department<\/a> have set out to uncover the truth of the duplicate Dan Sullivan on the ballot, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) looked beyond the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) to accuse Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of being in on the alleged plot \u201cfor over a year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Barrasso asserted<\/a>, \u201cI mean, this is criminal behavior to steal the Alaska Senate race; it\u2019s now been fully exposed. And there is proof that the Peltola campaign knew about it, and that Schumer schemed and colluded with them for over a year to try to search for and then coax a decoy of Dan Sullivan onto the ballot with a purpose only to deceive the voters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even RINO Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who opted this week to endorse<\/a> the Democratic gubernatorial nominee in her state and who arguably owes her ongoing presence in the U.S. Senate to ranked-choice voting, came out with a statement against the dual Sullivan scheme.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile some may try to write this off as just how politics works now, ballot-stacking should have no place in our electoral process. Run and win on your merits: your views, your policy ideas, and your accomplishments,\u201d read Murkowski\u2019s X account. \u201cBy contrast, recruiting candidates to manipulate the field and influence voting outcomes is simply wrong. Alaskans deserve the honest truth from Mary and her campaign\u2013what has been revealed is a pattern of lies and coverups and a culture of deception that belongs nowhere in our elections or among our elected officials.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a campaign stop at the Crystal Saloon in Juneau, Alaska, Peltola, who benefited from Murkowski\u2019s support in 2022<\/a> against former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), claimed, \u201cI knew nothing about any other candidates on the ballot except for me and the incumbent. That is all I have ever known about. I am not interested in tricking voters. I know I can beat Dan Sullivan.\u201d<\/p>\n

As neither the congresswoman\u2019s campaign nor Schumer\u2019s office responded to requests from Fox News Digital for comment, Barrasso went on to contend that the\u00a0\u201cDemocratic campaign has secretly been making fun of Alaskan voters for being so easily tricked.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, these people just are, you know, dirty, rotten scoundrels \u2014 cheaters,\u201d added the whip. \u201cI mean, how more cynical can you get than what the Democrats have done here?\u201d<\/p>\n
