A cruel Instagram prank on a hardworking, stressed-out Michigan father of four has turned out all the better after sympathetic supporters opened their wallets via GoFundMe.<\/p>\n

Identified as Walt Z, the father is seen in an Instagram video stocking shelves at a grocery store when he was approached by a troll who asked him for the time. When Walt pulls out his phone to check, the idiot uses his own phone to pretend to skim money from him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just took your money,\u201d the prankster provocatively informs Walt, who proceeds to go report the fool.<\/p>\n

FOUR KIDS AT HOME AND THEY\u2019RE FILMING HIM FOR CLOUT??<\/p>\n

Harmless content, or picked the wrong guy?<\/p>\n

A Red Baron rep is stocking a grocery store freezer when a couple of young people with a camera start messing with him. He snaps, then tells them he has to be up at 5 in the morning, he\u2019s still out working late, he\u2019s got four kids at home and he can\u2019t pay his mortgage.<\/p>\n

If that were my son holding that phone, the video would come down and he\u2019d be finding that man to apologize to his face.<\/p>\n

Yes, he lost his cool. Calling somebody a punk on camera never helps your case.<\/p>\n

Now look at what he\u2019s carrying. Early mornings, more stores to hit, four kids and a mortgage. And somebody decided his bad day would make good content.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a guy like him in every grocery store in America, grinding through the shift nobody sees. Turning one of them into the punchline isn\u2019t edgy. It\u2019s lazy.<\/p>\n

Leave the working man alone. He\u2019s got enough on his plate.<\/p>\n

The idiot continued to harass Walt as he was leaving the store. With Walt reaching his breaking point, the guy finally tells him it was all just a joke.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy life is hard enough as it is, okay? I don\u2019t need this crap,\u201d Walt responds. \u201cI got kids at home that went to bed without me right now. I was supposed to be off an hour ago. I gotta wake up at 5 in the morning and do 10 more stores!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re probably making money off of this,\u201d he added. \u201cI can\u2019t even pay my godd*mn mortgage. And I got four kids at home! So not funny!\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, folks seemed to agree because\u00a0a GoFundMe campaign <\/a>was launched to support Walt Z and his family, and it has raised more than $450,000 as of this writing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis fundraiser is about standing up for a working person who is busting their butt and should not have to fear losing stability because someone wanted content and clicks,\u201d wrote Luke Oakenshield, the organizer of the fundraiser.<\/p>\n

In an update posted Wednesday, Oakenshield added,\u00a0\u201cWalt Z out of Michigan sends a heartfelt thank you, and is absolutely blown away by how much people have cared over this.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for fears that Walt may lose his job, a spokesperson for Red Baron\u2019s parent company, Schwan\u2019s Company, said in a statement that they support Walt.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware of the video circulating on social media involving one of our Direct Store Delivery employees during an incident that occurred in August,\u201d the spokesperson said.\u00a0\u201cFollowing the incident, we connected directly with our team member to check on his well-being, and we continue to offer our support. We are pleased to share that he is doing well and remains a valued member of our team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walt was wearing a Red Baron Pizza shirt in the video, apparently working there as a second job, and the company responded to the incident by making him Employee of the Month, reassuring people that he still has a job.<\/p>\n
