The FBI\u2019s social media account roasted leftist reporters for the latest \u201cscoop\u201d that was nothing but hot air.<\/p>\n

MS NOW reporters Ken Dilanian and Carol Leonnig earned online mockery with a report that FBI agents have expressed \u201cdeep\u201d and \u201cgrave\u201d concerns about how they may be asked by the Trump administration to deal with election fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Election Day nears, recent events have prompted some FBI agents to express concern, according to seven people with knowledge of internal discussions among the ranks, that they may be ordered to seize voting machines or take other actions that disrupt election results,\u201d the MS NOW report, published Wednesday, began.<\/p>\n

Citing current and former FBI officials, Dilanian and Leonnig claimed some agents \u201chave expressed deep concern that they could be ordered to take legally questionable steps to investigate dubious claims of election fraud,\u201d noting, of course, that these \u201cindividuals requested anonymity to discuss sensitive internal deliberations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reference was, of course, related to Dilanian\u2019s scoop earlier this month when he claimed sources told him that Kash Patel had \u201cjust landed\u201d in Russia. But the FBI Director quickly exposed the journo\u2019s \u201cbasic verification failure\u201d and demanded apologies.<\/p>\n

\n

MS NOW put me in Russia based on two anonymous sources. I was in Virginia, honoring law enforcement at Liberty University. The network had to correct its false report.
\nThis was a basic verification failure. They were wrong about my location, and they are wrong about the successes of this FBI and our partnership with State, Local, and Tribal Law Enforcement. If a network cannot confirm where I was before putting it on air, how can the public trust its reporting on the work our agents and officers do every day?
\nThis is bigger than a false story about me. The men and women of law enforcement deserve accurate reporting while they protect communities and take violent criminals off our streets.
