Many Democrats and their rabid, mouth-breathing base are itching for another shot at impeaching President Donald J. Trump. It is what they live for.<\/p>\n

But even if Democrats regain control over the House of Representatives next week, Trump probably stands little chance of being impeached for a third time.<\/p>\n

With the midterms just five days away, polls are giving little hope for Republicans holding onto their slim majority as the party in power historically loses seats in such elections, and that\u2019s without sky-high gasoline and diesel prices and a new war that few outside of the neocons wanted.<\/p>\n

Even Fox News seems to have given up the ghost on the House.<\/p>\n

Fox News projects a GOP good election night is still a Dem majority with 223 seats. That\u2019s a GOOD night!<\/p>\n

This is all because Republicans stood behind Trump cheerleading him while he wouldn\u2019t release the Epstein files, waged an unprovoked war with Iran for Israel skyrocketing gas\/diesel prices, and implemented tariffs that raised the cost of goods on every American after he promised to lower cost of living.<\/p>\n

It would not be this way if Republicans had delivered what was promised on the campaign trail instead the House GOP was led to total failure by an incompetent Speaker.<\/p>\n

But it remains to be seen if Democrat leadership will reward their vengeful base by moving to impeach Trump again \u2013 or, for that matter, anyone in his administration.<\/p>\n

In a classic case of a dog finally catching the car, there are high-visibility Democrats who are openly discouraging a potential new House majority from backing up their tough talk and threats, which isn\u2019t likely to go over well with the fanatical Trump haters.<\/p>\n

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea.<\/p>\n

We have limited resources, and I think the energy and the resources need to be put into accountability, need to be put into investigations. And that\u2019s where the time should be spent.<\/p>\n

I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren\u2019t there.<\/p>\n

I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done\u2026<\/p>\n

Former vice president and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris is urging a new House Democrat majority to walk back their impeachment dreams, saying the effort would ultimately fail and distract from other issues.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on Tuesday\u2019s edition of \u201cThe Parnas Perspective\u201d podcast, Harris was asked for her advice for Democrat leadership on impeaching Trump if they regain control of Congress.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would your recommendation be to leadership in Congress?\u201d Parnas said. \u201cWould it be to go the investigations route and potentially an impeachment one day?\u201d or concentrate on policy to send to the president, forcing him to use his veto pen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea, just to be honest with you,\u201d said Harris. \u201cJust because we have limited resources, and I think the energy and the resources need to be put into accountability, need to be put into investigations. And that\u2019s where the time should be spent.\u201d<\/p>\n

It will be especially galling for the base to have to choke down a Jeffries impeachment TACO, but when the party\u2019s potential 2028 nominee is advocating for calling off the dogs, it can only add to the squeamishness of Dem House leaders \u2013 especially since they crapped the bed the first two times.<\/p>\n

Impeach Trump? Jeffries can\u2019t even commit to impeaching Pete Hegseth, even with bipartisan support.<\/p>\n

The presumptive speaker was put on the spot by Democrat-friendly MS NOW about backing up his talk to run the Pentagon chief \u201cout of town\u201d and danced around like a cat on a hot tin roof, demanding that Trump fire his war secretary in the middle of a war instead of committing to impeaching him.<\/p>\n

The truth of the matter is that Jeffries loves presenting himself as some kind of tough guy \u2013 like brandishing a baseball bat on social media \u2013 but when it comes to following through, he\u2019s softer than a wet roll of toilet paper.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s highly likely that \u201cDollar Store Obama\u201d will pull the rug out from under the angry base once the votes have been counted and he\u2019s firmly ensconced as the newly minted first black speaker.<\/p>\n
