We&#8217;ve also reported that high-level US State Department officials met with their European counterparts over the summer to discuss the matter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>riots are embarrassing for the European progressive experiment,<\/strong> as lefty corporate media outlets run cover for the left. BBC News described the riots as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/europa\/status\/2111966981494878474?s=20\">mostly peaceful<\/a>&#8221; last week, while other left-wing outlets downplayed the chaos.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One has to wonder why this surge of highly coordinated unrest by far-left groups has\u00a0accelerated now and whether it reflects a pressure campaign toward the rising right wing,\u00a0from Germany to France, where Le Pen leads the polls. Nomura analysts also anticipate a rightward shift during Europe&#8217;s election cycle over the next year and a half.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">France Deploys 70,000 Police As Cities Brace For Far-Left Chaos<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">France deployed as many as 70,000 police officers across major metro areas on Saturday morning to prevent another far-left uprising, as the Macron government is plagued by a growing list of crises, including social unrest, financial turmoil and unfettered mass migration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deployment, reinforced by military troops, armored vehicles, drones and helicopters, is centered on Paris, Marseille, Lyon and other cities. Several municipalities banned downtown protests, and authorities maintained curfews into the weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/vpopulimedia\/status\/2113941710778532348\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rioting last week resulted in more than 2,500 arrests, nearly 1,000 injured police officers and over 3,000 looted stores. The unrest has disrupted business activity and prompted Paris retailers to board up their storefronts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Self-described anti-communist analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DrKarlynB\/status\/2113456288927789184?s=20\">Karlyn Borysenko<\/a> provided her analysis of the highly coordinated uprisings by the far left:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The riots in France started as a student uprising. There were certainly students from immigrant communities involved in the uprising. The uprising was facilitated by by their teachers, just like what happens in the United States. It was caused by leftist indoctrination in schools, with teachers training the students to be activists &#8211; that is the cause.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Following the start of the student movement, it expanded to include teachers, university students, the major labor unions and the antifa\/anti-capitalist groups. All of it is grounded in far-left ideology. They are explicitly calling for the communist overthrow of the government and now it is bleeding into other countries in the region. That is what all the evidence says. And I&#8217;ve collected primary source evidence from multiple groups, including recordings you refuse to look at.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/DrKarlynB\/status\/2113668552666341714\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier in the week, Fox News&#8217;\u00a0Asra Nomani released a report that identified the dozens of groups behind the unrest, in which her team found:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Of the 54 organizations identified in the October protest ecosystem, 16 \u2014 or only about one in three \u2014 are student or youth organizations, including communist youth groups and a Muslim student association. The remaining 38 include adult-led communist groups, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary-left organizations, advocacy groups and international propaganda outlets.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/FoxNews\/status\/2113694307513250056\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Footage from Saturday morning shows some of the protests are already turning violent.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/cpasdeslol_X\/status\/2113942289022136370\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/visegrad24\/status\/2113991189821047101\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nomani highlighted the spread of protests and riots across multiple countries. One possible view is that\u00a0far-left groups are attempting to\u00a0turn local grievances into a broader revolutionary campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/AsraNomani\/status\/2113726206382092574\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond weeks of social unrest in France and the\u00a0Macron government still struggling to squash this movement,\u00a0Moody&#8217;s on Friday spared the country from a credit ratings downgrade.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The Aa3 rating assumes that a deficit-reducing budget for 2027 will be adopted, while financing costs and social tensions will abate somewhat in the next few months,&#8221; Moody&#8217;s said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>France&#8217;s OAT-Bund spread closed around 167.4 bps on Friday,\u00a0<\/strong>approaching levels seen at the height of the eurozone sovereign debt crisis.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"size-large aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1325\" src=\"https:\/\/cdm.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/france-10y-spreads-since-2010.png\" alt=\"Chart of France 10-year spreads since 2010\" class=\"wp-image-117543\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>France 10-year OAT-Bund spread and OAT-BTP spread. These groups are also\u00a0resisting a potential Le Pen presidency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And of course, these groups also have\u00a0anti-capitalist ambitions and aim to destroy the Western world.
