An Amish woman is being hailed for her heroic effort to fend off an illegal alien with a weedwhacker after he tried to abduct her at knifepoint.<\/p>\n

The woman, who was referred to in community reports as \u201cJune,\u201d was working in the yard outside her home when she was confronted by Junior Jose Davila-Moran \u2014 the 26-year-old New Jersey resident tapped the woman on her shoulder while holding an eight-inch serrated knife and a pair of handcuffs, according to Fox 17<\/p>\n

Davila-Moran, who entered the U.S. illegally, tried to convince the woman to let him cuff her wrists, assuring her it would be okay if she complied \u2014\u00a0 the potential victim, who was holding a weed whacker at the time, was anything but. She screamed as loud as she could while aggressively revving the yard tool\u2019s motor to full power and swung it at the would-be kidnapper\u2019s face.<\/p>\n

According to state police, an illegal immigrant criminal Jose Davila-Moran walked up from behind and TAPPED HER ON THE SHOULDER.<\/p>\n

When she turned around, he was holding a knife and handcuffs and police said he tried to put them on her.<\/p>\n

Most people would freeze\u2026 not the Amish!!!!<\/p>\n

She SCREAMED, she picked up that weed whacker, she revved the motor and then she ran right AT HIM!!!!<\/p>\n

Pennsylvania State Police tracked him down and ARRESTED him 26-year-old Junior Jose Davila-Moran, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s charged with ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING, false imprisonment, simple assault, terroristic threats, and more.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s sitting in Lancaster County Prison awaiting a preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n

Davila-Moran was arrested later and charged with attempted kidnapping, false imprisonment, simple assault, terroristic threats, and other charges, according to the Fox affiliate.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn January 2018, Border Patrol arrested Davila-Moran in Donna, Texas, after he illegally entered the country. He was transferred to Office of Refugee Resettlement custody due to being a juvenile,\u2019 an ICE spokesperson said of Davila-Moran\u2019s immigration status.<\/p>\n

Lancaster County Commissioner Josh Parsons responded to the story to call on law enforcement agencies to work with ICE to help keep Americans safe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been outspoken on this case since the beginning because the facts are so terrible,\u201d Parsons posted on X. \u201cStranger kidnappings are very rare, but very dangerous and terrifying to the victim and the community. From the ABC27 article: \u201cwhen she turned around after feeling a tap on her shoulder and saw Junior Davila-Moran, 26, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by the Pennsylvania State Police. He was holding a knife and handcuffs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The charged individual was previously in custody and allowed to stay in the U.S. in a \u201cResettlement\u201d program. From the LNP article today:<\/p>\n

This is exactly why we must enforce the law. This is exactly what I have warned about in the face of anti-law enforcement protestors who come to our public meetings and attack law enforcement for doing their jobs and working with ICE. This is exactly why every law enforcement agency must work with their federal partners to keep Americans safe. If you care at all about your neighbors, enforce the law.<\/p>\n
