With roughly two weeks before 2026\u2019s consequential midterms, top Dems dropped another lawsuit against the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit filed against President Trump and the Justice Department on Tuesday seeks to block the feds from pressuring states to clean up their voter rolls.<\/p>\n

The 44-page complaint filed by three Democrat groups and leaders, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, accuses the Trump administration of \u201cunlawfully directing states to remove suspected noncitizens from their voter rolls and threatening election officials with criminal prosecutions if they refuse to comply,\u201d The Hill reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cNone of this is lawful,\u201d the complaint reads. \u201cThe Executive Branch enjoys no authority to superintend state voter list maintenance, to supplant state determinations of who is qualified to vote, or dictate who gets a ballot or whose ballot gets segregated.\u201d<\/p>\n
