A five-year-old story is back in the news thanks to the raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar\u2019s home, and it\u2019s not looking good for Biden\u2019s FBI.<\/p>\n

Miranda Devine of\u00a0The New York Post<\/a><\/em> graced X users with a flashback to a piece she penned in 2021 titled \u201cFBI dodged Ilhan Omar-\u2018bro\u2019 wed probe.\u201d She also noted that her source, Minnesota GOP operative Anton Lazarro, was arrested by the FBI just hours after making the claim that \u201cDNA evidence that allegedly shows Rep. Ilhan Omar was once married to her brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahem. Five years ago I wrote a column about DNA test results that showed there was a 99.999998 percent chance that Ilhan Omar and her second husband Ahmed Elmi were siblings. A few hours before we went to press my informant was arrested by Biden\u2019s FBI. Funny that. https:\/\/t.co\/MEBWf5U7pv<\/p>\n

Devine accused Biden\u2019s FBI of \u201cprotecting their own\u201d rather than doing its own DNA test to put the rumor to rest once and for all.<\/p>\n

And this sentence stood the test of time: \u201cWhy didn\u2019t the FBI do its own DNA tests and clear up the cloud hanging over Omar\u2019s head?\u201d Biden\u2019s FBI protecting its own. That\u2019s all they did.<\/p>\n

Now that federal prosecutors have reportedly obtained Omar\u2019s DNA as part of their ongoing investigation into alleged immigration fraud, the topic is facing renewed scrutiny. Especially from people who were dismissed as conspiracy theorists when trying to discuss the issue previously.<\/p>\n

From the opinion piece:<\/p>\n

The test results stated there is a 99.999998 percent chance that Omar and her second husband, Ahmed Elmi, now her ex-husband, are siblings, according to an analysis by British company Endeavor DNA Laboratories. But before Lazarro could share the results with the media, he was arrested Thursday on underage sex-trafficking charges and jailed pending a court hearing Monday.<\/p>\n

His website, IlhanOmarDNA.com, containing the DNA test results, was online briefly before it was taken down Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Lazarro and a group of conservative donors had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on three continents hiring private investigators to track down Elmi Omar\u2019s ex-husband in the UK and procure his DNA from a drinking straw. Omar\u2019s DNA, Lazarro\u2019s website claimed, was extracted from saliva on a cigarette butt she was photographed smoking.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
