Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has gone around President Trump and taken his complaints about the Trump administration to Congress, Axios reports. During a call with U.S. senators the Ukrainian President accused the Trump administration of restricting military aid in order to pressure Ukraine into concessions to Russia.<\/p>\n

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, he claimed, is holding up delivery of Patriot interceptors and AIM-9X missiles already paid for by NATO countries. Ukraine has almost no U.S.-supplied Patriot interceptors left, he told the senators, according to Axios.<\/p>\n

Several House Republicans are threatening to block President Trump\u2019s request for $350 billion in additional funds to support the Pentagon unless the administration takes a harder line against Russia, The Hill reports.<\/p>\n

The dispute follows Trump\u2019s decision to ease Russian sanctions in part to allow the importation of Russian diesel fuel in an attempt to lower prices at the pump. These House Republicans are now using defense funds as leverage on the President to take a harder line against Russia even as he attempts to extricate the US from the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

There is also a political element, as deep staters attempt to harm GOP election prospects with Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries, raising U.S. fuel prices. <\/p>\n

The Republicans also complain about restrictions on intelligence and satellite data for the Ukraine military. These restrictions would apparently help the Russian President, Putin, and weaken the Ukraine military, The Hill reports.<\/p>\n

Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon and Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick are two of the Republicans demanding that Trump restore sanctions on Russia and allow Ukraine to have full access to critical military support. Some warn that their opposition could extend beyond Pentagon funding to other administration priorities. Bacon has said the administration\u2019s decisions \u201cequate to aiding the invader & the war criminal who bombs cities\u201d and that Trump\u2019s legislative agenda is \u201cdead\u201d in the lame-duck session unless he reverses course, according to reports.<\/p>\n

That money would be used to pay for things like the Golden Dome missile defense system, drones and more ammunition. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is pushing to use party-line reconciliation to advance the money through the legislative process even after the midterm elections, Defense Daily reported. Trump has maintained that intelligence sharing with Ukraine is still ongoing, Newsmax reported.<\/p>\n

Bacon specifically has been obnoxiously vocal about support for Ukraine, and attacked journalists questioning his stance. The American people want the war to end, so do the Ukrainian people, who are paying for the ‘Congressional support’ with their lives. <\/p>\n

Trump’s attempt to end the war and bring peace is facing obstacles within the Washington ‘blob’ defense establishment. These lawmakers are willing to harm American security interests with their ‘Ukraine first’ mentality.<\/p>\n
