President Donald Trump\u2019s patience in dealing with Volodymyr Zelensky appears to have expired, with Trump referring to the Ukrainian president as circus master P.T. Barnum in an interview Thursday with Newsmax.<\/p>\n

Trump claimed former President Joe Biden gave Ukraine billions of dollars of cash and equipment, only to see U.S. missiles \u201cbeing sold on the open market.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI call him P.T. Barnum,\u201d he said. \u201cThey gave to P.T. Barnum, which is Zelensky, massive amounts of \u2014 Biden should have made them pay. He gave hundreds, probably $350 billion worth of equipment and cash to Ukraine. Biden was giving them missiles, and they were being sold on the open market.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about Ukraine resuming strikes on Russian energy targets after being asked not to, Trump pulled no punches.<\/p>\n

\u201cZelensky is not a good guy for us to deal with,\u201d he said matter-of-factly.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave you lost faith in him?\u201d host Rob Finnerty asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they\u2019re gonna end up with a settlement of some kind,\u201d the president replied. \u201cThey\u2019re not gonna do it with him. He doesn\u2019t wanna settle. He says he wants to settle, but he doesn\u2019t. No, I\u2019m not a big fan of Zelensky. They\u2019ve destroyed that country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump announced Sunday that Ukraine and Russia had agreed to an \u201cenergy ceasefire\u201d deal, but Ukrainian officials claimed Russia continued to attack its energy facilities.<\/p>\n

The president suggested that Barack Obama was at least partially at fault for the current war in the region, referencing Russia\u2019s 2014 annexation of Crimea.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the U.S. election weren\u2019t rigged, that war would have never happened. That\u2019s the saddest part,\u201d Trump said. \u201cUkraine has lost so many of its men, and Russia, too, but Russia\u2019s a massive country.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if the war would end before he leaves office, Trump predicted that it would not go on much longer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt should end soon,\u201d the president told Finnerty. \u201cI think they actually both would like to see it end, but I find Zelensky to be more difficult to deal with than Putin.\u201d<\/p>\n
