America\u2019s dumbest city is now on track to elect America\u2019s dumbest person to office as mayor of their very dumb community.<\/p>\n

According to new polling data and various reports, Los Angeles City Council member Nithya Raman has taken a very noticeable lead over incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in the upcoming mayoral race.<\/p>\n

This is a very notable development because Raman is a complete nutter who\u2019s in favor of the homeless camping out next to schools, who\u2019s referred to Israel\u2019s justified actions in Gaza as a \u201cgenocide,\u201d and who\u2019s a proud socialist.<\/p>\n

According to the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), she\u2019s voted over 75 times against rules that would have made it illegal for a homeless encampment to spring up within 500 feet of a school.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, it\u2019s like, I don\u2019t think a kid\u2019s gonna be safer because a tent is 500 feet away from a school,\u201d she said during a January debate against Bass.<\/p>\n

Yet when activists set up a fake homeless encampment close to her own home in May, she freaked out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI woke up this morning to a sound of commotion outside of my window, and I looked out the window and I realized that there were people setting up what was, I think, a fake encampment, like a homeless encampment outside of my house,\u201d she said during a podcast appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cMultiple people gathered there filming it, shooting something with cameras and things like that outside of my house,\u201d she continued. \u201cI have two little kids. Yeah. They didn\u2019t see it, luckily, this morning. But, you know, I feel badly that I\u2019m even subjecting them to that at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

LA Mayor candidate Nithya Raman has publicly said:

Bass has been taking advantage of Raman\u2019s lunacy, according to My News LA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNithya Raman believes that it\u2019s OK for encampments to be outside of schools, day cares and other sensitive locations,\u201d her campaign spokesperson said in a statement. \u201cMayor Bass has made it clear that Angelenos, especially kids, should not have to dodge tents on their way to school or dance class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the LAPPL dropped an ad targeting Raman this week.<\/p>\n

The ad showed a child trying to walk to school while dealing with homeless encampments.<\/p>\n

\u201cWalking to school shouldn\u2019t be scary,\u201d the child said in the ad. \u201cBad things can happen. I see things I\u2019m not supposed to, so I keep my head down, so I don\u2019t have to look or step on a needle. I\u2019m just a kid, even I\u2019d know I\u2019d be safer if this was 500 feet away.\u201d<\/p>\n

The release of the ad was accompanied by a statement from LAPPL President Ricky Mendoza.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a city councilmember, Nithya Raman has voted over 75 times against banning homeless encampments at over 500 separate locations next to schools, parks, daycare and other sensitive locations throughout Los Angeles,\u201d he told My News LA.<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Raman just doesn\u2019t get it: No child should have to walk to and from school or the park past dangerous encampments, it\u2019s just not right,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Raman also supports \u201csanctuary city\u201d protections for illegal aliens:<\/p>\n
