A woman\u2019s disturbing story about her United Airlines flight is sparking justifiable outrage for the way the airline handled a situation with an alleged pervert.<\/p>\n

The woman on a flight from Rochester, New York, to Newark Liberty International Airport on September 3 said she noticed that the \u201cpretty normal looking\u201d and \u201cunassuming\u201d man sitting next to her near the back of the plane was allegedly masturbating.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just got the sense [he] had done it before,\u201d she told NBC. \u201cPeople don\u2019t just do those things at 6 a.m.\u201d<\/p>\n

After alerting flight staff of the situation, the woman was reportedly allowed to stand away from her seat for about an hour.<\/p>\n

A 25-year-old United Airlines passenger says she was forced to sit next to a man who pleasured himself while staring at her during a flight ahead of Labor Day weekend. https:\/\/t.co\/qMHqCIKNiK<\/a><\/p>\n

But things took a turn for the worse when the woman was reportedly ordered to return to her seat \u2014 next to the alleged creep \u2014 as the plane prepared to land.<\/p>\n

When she finally reached the gate, she was allegedly brushed off by a United employee after reporting the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat am I supposed to do about it?\u201d she was allegedly told, and the perp was allowed to walk off.<\/p>\n

United Airlines\u2019 response after the woman contacted the FBI and filed complaints with United and the FAA wasn\u2019t much better.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can imagine how upsetting and uncomfortable it must have been to experience behavior from another passenger that caused you concern, particularly while seated in a location where you felt concerned,\u201d a representative for the airline said.<\/p>\n

The woman shot back at United\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI DID remove myself and ask for help,\u201d the woman told NBC. \u201cAdditionally, framing public masturbation as \u2018behavior that caused me concern\u2019 implies that what occurred could somehow be perceived as acceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is the first time I\u2019ve been purposely trapped by people who were supposed to be helping me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
