Her personal life isn\u2019t all that New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) has opened up about lately as she disclosed what\u2019s standing between her and a decision on higher office.<\/p>\n

Having leapt onto the political stage in 2018 by unseating then-Rep. Joe Crowley (D) \u2014 a likely successor to leadership for House Democrats \u2014 the Squad member has remained a driving force in accelerating the leftward shift of the Overton Window. Now, after chronicling freezing her eggs and revealing she wouldn\u2019t date a Republican<\/a>, Ocasio-Cortez teased that the midterm elections are all that stands between her and an announcement on her 2028 plans.<\/p>\n

Speaking with the New York Post about a White House bid or a challenge to incumbent Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the congresswoman said<\/a>, \u201cI will be making any of those considerations after the midterms.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ll learn a lot in November,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Notably, after seven years of lapsed membership, the surge in success for Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidates in primaries throughout the nation found Ocasio-Cortez renewing her ties to the radical party.<\/p>\n

Chuck Schumer for New York\u2019s Senate seat, experts said. While commentator Hasan Piker told Axios he would \u201cabsolutely\u201d stump for Ocasio-Cortez, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman remained noncommittal at a Politico conference.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Hell Gate reported<\/a> that DSA member and New York City Councilman Chi Oss\u00e9 may be the socialist pick to challenge Schumer in 2028 should Ocasio-Cortez seek the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the era of wait-your-turn politics is over,\u201d he said while attending a \u201cTake Our Power Back\u201d DSA event in Upstate New York on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Post further credited Oss\u00e9 as the source of Ocasio-Cortez\u2019s remark that \u201cWoke 1 was crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n
