One year after President Donald Trump launched a multi-agency law enforcement initiative through a presidential memorandum to target violent and street crime in Memphis, resident Dalisia Ballinger shared that peace has returned to her streets and that it\u2019s now safe for her children to go out and play.<\/p>\n

The Memphis mother has been an outspoken advocate for the Memphis Safe Task Force following a drive-by shooting that left a bullet lodged inside the walls of her home.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor once, I\u2019m walking to my mailbox and it\u2019s quiet,\u201d Ballinger told Fox News Digital. \u201cI\u2019m hearing the birds chirp. I\u2019m hearing the birds sing. I\u2019m seeing children play in the middle of the street. I\u2019m seeing fathers playing football.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the record, official data shows overall crime down 36 percent, murders down 36 percent, robberies down 42 percent, and vehicle thefts down 57 percent. There have also been 12,700 arrests, 2,160 illegal firearms seized, and 189 missing children recovered, as noted on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cPublic safety should not be up for debate,\u201d Ballinger said. \u201cI don\u2019t care if you are a Republican. I don\u2019t care if you are a Democrat.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been begging for years for our local leaders for assistance and for help,\u201d she added. \u201cMy children deserve peace, and with the Memphis Safe Task Force being here, we\u2019ve finally been able to get that peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat era is over,\u201d the White House said of the previous level of crime. \u201cPresident Trump rejected the excuses, restored law and order, and once again proved that decline is a choice.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the same time, don\u2019t expect the agenda-driven media to call attention to the improvement with the midterm elections looming.<\/p>\n
