Ukraine and Russia have agreed not to attack each other’s energy sites, as exclusively reported by CDM<\/a> several days ago. The Trump White House has been quietly working behind the scenes to bring an end to the disastrous Ukraine war.<\/p>\n

As CDM reported last week, the White House has been pressing the Zelensky government on a number of fronts \u2014 trying to convince Kyiv of the folly of certain actions on Russian territory, including strikes on Russian energy targets, that the administration believes will only serve to prevent an eventual negotiated settlement and prolong the fighting.<\/p>\n

Trump’s demand that Zelensky stop attacking Russian diesel infrastructure was not an isolated comment. It is a signal to the war lobby in Washington and the globalist infrastructure in Europe that this White House is through with their policies of endless war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The economic stakes are enormous. Diesel prices hit a national average of $6.23 a gallon Monday, according to Bloomberg \u2014 a direct consequence of Ukraine’s sustained drone campaign against Russian oil refineries, which reduced Russian fuel output and tightened global supply. Diesel is the lifeblood of the American economy, powering trucks, trains, agricultural equipment, and freight shipping. The higher price at the pump is punishing hard-working Americans who have no stake in this war and never did. Washington has been backing a conflict whose economic fallout lands squarely on the backs of ordinary people.<\/p>\n

Russia separately reduced its oil production outlook to a 17-year low and cut its fuel export projections for 2026 and 2027. Ukraine continues to maintain that Russian refineries are legitimate military targets \u2014 but Trump’s intervention signals that the White House is no longer accepting that framing.<\/p>\n

Zelensky described the arrangement as “a proposal” rather than a firm agreement \u2014 consistent with his pattern of hedging when Washington applies real pressure. But the direction is unmistakable. The Trump administration wants a ceasefire, and the energy truce announced today is a major step in that process.<\/p>\n

CDM’s sources indicate the coming weeks are a critical diplomatic window. A moratorium on energy infrastructure strikes, if it holds, removes one of the most significant economic irritants driving global fuel prices higher \u2014 and moves both sides materially closer to the broader settlement the White House is actively pursuing.<\/p>\n

The globalist infrastructure in Europe and the legacy war lobby in Washington will resist this, as they resist every America First initiative. But CDM reported this was coming \u2014 and today, the Trump White House delivered.<\/p>\n
