They would use it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Explaining that he doesn&#8217;t believe in &#8220;regrets&#8221; and that he has none especially about launching the Iran war, Trump asserted: <strong>&#8220;If I had it to do again, I would do exactly what I did<\/strong>.<strong>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/noragrets.jpg?itok=QgR2vqyB\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/noragrets.jpg?itok=QgR2vqyB\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"33020b7b-5a32-4580-a489-05211ff3f378\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" height=\"501\" width=\"500\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/noragrets.jpg?itok=QgR2vqyB\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He further argued that if Iran had a nuclear weapon, its leaders <strong>wouldn&#8217;t hesitate to &#8220;wipe out&#8221; Israel<\/strong> and the Middle East, and could go so far as to hit American cities.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate brief interview with the press this week, President Trump was asked about reports that Vice President Vance and Secretary State Marco Rubio warned him of the<strong> possibility that the Iran conflict could persist for the remainder of his term<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Reporter: Is it possible that the Iran war will last the rest of your term?<\/p>\n<p>Trump: No. There\u2019s not even a chance of that. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lUwxW9iiOL\">pic.twitter.com\/lUwxW9iiOL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Clash Report (@clashreport) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/clashreport\/status\/2098306532186222857?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 11, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump vehemently denied that there&#8217;s so much as a chance of this, but didn&#8217;t actually explain how he intends to wind down the war in a way favorable to the US and White House policy. Or in other words, the American public still awaits words on a realistic exit strategy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On going into Iran &#8220;full&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; Trump did underscore that the midterm elections makes this a bad idea. His administration has also <strong>repeatedly said there won&#8217;t be boots on the ground in Iran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Was this a <\/em><strong><em>quiet part out loud moment?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Ingraham: &#8220;Even the neoconservatives are saying, &#8216;If you&#8217;ge going to go in [to Iran] just go in full.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump: &#8220;Well, maybe I don&#8217;t do that because of the election.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZEXtZv1jsI\">pic.twitter.com\/ZEXtZv1jsI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 J (@jasonllevin) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jasonllevin\/status\/2098191423438803094?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 10, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Among the most interesting parts of the interview came when he was asked about the young men in MAGA who are angry over the Iran war:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Q: <strong>What do you say to all the young men who supported you in 2024?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trump: They still do.<\/p>\n<p>Q: <strong>Some of them are demoralized<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump: I don&#8217;t think they&#8217;re demoralized.<strong> I think they&#8217;re very proud <\/strong>of the fact I&#8217;m not letting Iran have a nuclear weapon.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">President Trump, when asked about the millions of demoralized young men who voted for him in 2024: \u201cI don&#8217;t think they&#8217;re demoralized. Or maybe sooner. <strong>But it\u2019ll get settled right after the election<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The reference to it&#8217;ll &#8220;get settled&#8221; could have ominous meaning. It suggests Trump could ether escalate against Tehran dramatically, or else there could be the opposite: de-escalation.
