Vice President J.D. Vance found himself in the hot seat following President Trump\u2019s stunning promise to Americans.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump made waves on both sides of the aisle and shocked many when he made a vow<\/a> to give \u201cevery American adult\u201d a $5,000 dividend if Republicans remain in control of Congress after the midterm elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can make this promise to you, and here is my promise,\u201d Trump told an audience at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic \u2014 tremendous economic success like in history, we\u2019ve never had anything like what\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox News\u2019 Brett Baier acknowledged the inevitable and heavy criticism Trump would get for the declaration and asked Vance to respond.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can hear the critics\u2019 heads exploding. They\u2019re saying out loud, I guarantee you, \u2018The president is bribing voters to vote for Republicans to take over the House, and then he\u2019s bankrupting the country because the deficit and debt is huge and inflation would come back if this comes into play.\u2019 So how do you answer those criticisms?\u201d Baier asked.<\/p>\n

Vance tried to clarify the president\u2019s remarks the best he could, arguing that if Trump\u2019s policies were allowed to remain in place, a dividend for every citizen isn\u2019t a far fetched idea.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I say first of all, what the president\u2019s talking about is fundamentally a dividend for American workers,\u201d Vance began.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re taking in an extraordinary amount of revenue because the president of the United States is actually standing up to both foreign companies, but also foreign countries who\u2019ve been taking advantage of America\u2019s workers for pretty much my entire life\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the president\u2019s just saying is, \u2018If you keep it going to the American people, if you keep us in power and allow us to continue to do these things, then you\u2019re going to share in some of the benefit of this incredible wealth that, that we\u2019re, we\u2019re creating in the United States of America,\u2019\u201d Vance continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a controversial idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Needless to say, Vance is taking major heat for trying to \u201csanewash\u201d Trump\u2019s dividend promise.<\/p>\n

\u201cVance again pathetically tries to sanewash Trump\u2019s insane ramblings,\u201d the leftist \u201cTennessee Holler\u201d posted on X in reaction to Vance.<\/p>\n

The Holler was far from alone:<\/p>\n

Lies after Lies if Trump can send money to other countries he can give the American people the lousy $5,000 dollars. Which it should be way more due to the stolen taxpayers money for illegals I never signed a contract for that bullshit.<\/p>\n
