{"id":666023,"date":"2026-09-10T12:13:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T12:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=666023"},"modified":"2026-09-10T12:13:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T12:13:59","slug":"karl-rove-breaks-down-the-idiocy-behind-dems-32-hour-workweek-dream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=666023","title":{"rendered":"Karl Rove breaks down the \u2018idiocy\u2019 behind Dem\u2019s 32-hour workweek dream"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/sg-rove-and-kilmeade-1200x630.png\" class=\"attachment-facebook size-facebook wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Brian Kilmeade and Karl Rove broke down promises made by top Democrat socialists before the midterms.<\/p>\n<p>Kilmeade played clips of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during an interview with Rove on \u201cThe Kilmeade Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One clip showed Sanders calling for a 32-hour workweek.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sad reality now is that Americans now work more hours than the people of any other wealthy nation \u2026 a lower work week, 32-hour work week,\u201d Sanders claimed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not a radical thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another clip, AOC told a crowd that Americans should demand to eliminate overtime, saying, \u201cone job\u201d should be \u201cenough for our most basic needs, which also includes rest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rove was not impressed and blasted AOC out of the gate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, great. I love it. AOC is now going to determine that you must take a nap,\u201d Rove said. \u201cYou must take a nap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then moved to the economics behind the 32-hour workweek idea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember, let\u2019s go to the idea, though, that\u2019s at the heart of this,\u201d he continued. \u201cThey want a 32-hour workweek with pay for 40 hours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, tell me how a small business firm- you\u2019re running a plumbing company, and you\u2019ve got six employees- and now what you\u2019re going to do is increase the cost of \u2014 those people are going to work only 32 hours, but you\u2019re going to continue to pay them at a 40-hour rate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow are you going to come up with 20% more money to pay for people to work the other eight hours?\u201d Rove rhetorically asked before calling the whole notion \u201cidiocy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t produce the same amount of services in 32 hours that you can do in 40,\u201d Rove added. \u201cYou\u2019re going to have to go hire some more people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, this is idiocy,\u201d he also said. \u201cAnd look, I\u2019ve worked more than 40 hours a week. Don\u2019t tell me how many hours you want me to work.
