The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Friday that five people have been charged with illegally voting in the 2022 and 2024 elections.<\/p>\n

Of the five, two were illegal aliens, two were legal aliens, and one was a U.S. citizen, according to a DOJ press release.<\/p>\n

The DOJ also released stunning bodycam video footage showing agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) apprehending one of the defendants at an apartment in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

ELECTION FRAUD: The DOJ just charged five individuals across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Wisconsin for illegally voting and fraudulent registration in the 2022 and 2024 elections \u2014 including two illegal immigrants and two non-citizens with legal status.<\/p>\n

According to the DOJ, Rodriguez made a \u201cfalse statement of citizenship in order to vote\u201d in the 2024 election.<\/p>\n

An older couple in Pennsylvania also got caught up in the sweep.<\/p>\n

\u201cThomas Holtzman, 68, and his wife Marisol Guzman, 50, both of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to Guzman illegally voting as an alien in the 2024 election,\u201d according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n

Guzman is a legal alien, while Holtzman is a U.S. citizen. While Guzman was charged with just voting as an alien, her husband was also \u201ccharged with false statement of citizenship in order to vote and aiding and abetting and fraudulent registration and aiding and abetting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some have alleged that Holtzman is a registered Republican.<\/p>\n

The US citizen per the DOJ release is Thomas Holtzman of Carlisle.<\/p>\n

The remaining two suspects are from New Jersey and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

One suspect, N.J. resident Mercedes Alexandra Cardoso, \u201cwas a non-citizen\u201d alien from Ecuador when she registered to vote online by pretending to be a U.S. citizen.<\/p>\n

\u201cCardoso allegedly cast a ballot in the June 2024 primary election, which included candidates who were vying for election for the office of President and Vice President of the United States,\u201d according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time she cast her ballot, Cardoso, who entered the United States from Ecuador on a B-2 visa, was not a U.S. citizen and was therefore not authorized to vote in federal elections.\u00a0If convicted of voting by an illegal alien, Cardoso faces a maximum penalty of one year in prison. She is scheduled to have an initial appearance on Sept. 8,\u201d the DOJ reported.<\/p>\n

The final suspect is Jesus Javier Jurado Garcia, an illegal alien from Mexico who lives in Wisconsin and voted in the November 2022 election.<\/p>\n

\u201c[O]n Nov. 8, 2022, Jurado Garcia, knowing he was not a U.S. citizen, illegally voted in an election held in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the offices of Member of the Senate and Member of the House of Representatives,\u201d according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n

Attorney General Todd Blanche released a statement celebrating the apprehensions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe integrity of our elections, which are fundamental to democracy, should be of utmost importance to every American,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is a cherished right for eligible American citizens, and only eligible American citizens, to vote for their representatives in government. Election fraud is a serious crime, and it is the duty of the Department of Justice to treat it as such.\u201d<\/p>\n

FBI Director Kash Patel also spoke up.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs alleged, these five individuals in New Jersey, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, including two illegal aliens, stole votes from American citizens when they decided to break the law and undermine our elections,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cProtecting election integrity for the American people is one of the top priorities for this FBI,\u201d he added. \u201cEvery American citizen has a right to free and fair elections, and we will not hesitate to use all available resources to investigate every credible allegation of election fraud and illegal voting.\u201d<\/p>\n
