United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the destruction of 3 IRGC oil tankers, and there\u2019s video.<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, CENTCOM released a statement on the retaliatory strikes, which came after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) unleashed ballistic missiles that were reportedly targeting two U.S. Navy warships in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cA U.S. aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer successfully evaded multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks. No American personnel were harmed,\u201d CENTCOM confirmed. \u201cFollowing Iran\u2019s failed attacks, CENTCOM permanently disabled the IRGC crude oil carriers M\/T Downy off the coast of Kharg Island and M\/T Stark 1 near Jask. American forces also completely destroyed the unladen crude oil carrier M\/T Kylo (also known as the \u2018Noxen\u2019) in the Gulf of Oman, striking the vessel in multiple critical locations to render it inoperable after the crew was directed to abandon ship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe three Iranian crude oil tankers are part of a multibillion-dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC and its regional proxies. Iran has no means by which to defend them,\u201d the post continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost \u2014taking out three of yours,\u201d CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper said. \u201cWe will not hesitate to defend American forces, and if necessary, destroy Iran\u2019s limited and exposed oil fleet.\u201d<\/p>\n
