Vice President JD Vance has a message for Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.<\/p>\n

Vance channelled his inner Will Smith to warn El-Sayed against talking about his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, during a Monday rally in Sterling Heights, Michigan.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever you want to talk about, Abdul, keep my wife\u2019s name the hell outta your mouth, because she\u2019s way outta your league!\u201d he said, to applause.<\/p>\n

El-Sayed came under fire for making several comments about Vance\u2019s wife, including about her recent pregnancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you think is going through Usha\u2019s head when he talks? She\u2019s like, \u2018Damn, I have to sleep with him,\u2019\u201d he said on \u201cThe Allen Analysis Show\u201d in April.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess she\u2019s pregnant so something is happening. Can you imagine, he\u2019s got brown kids, at some point he\u2019s going to have a really awkward conversation with his kids, like, you made your career hating people who are different,\u201d the candidate added.<\/p>\n

He appears to have made a habit of talking about the second lady, asking in August whether Vance would take his wife \u201cback in time to meet Papaw,\u201d implying that the vice president\u2019s grandfather was racist. This came after Vance criticized the leftist turn of the Democrats, saying it\u2019s not the same party his Papaw voted for.<\/p>\n

The truth of the matter is that Donald Trump, almost as soon as I was nominated, tweeted a picture of me and my wife, relative to him and his wife, trying to highlight the fact that my wife wears a hijab as if to make an argument that that\u2019s somehow less American,\u201d El-Sayed said, justifying his remarks on Usha Vance. \u201cAnd they have this interesting dynamic: Donald Trump says one thing, i.e., data centers, or tweets a picture of my wife, and then JD Vance pretends like it would be impossible for anybody ever to do something like that. So I\u2019d like them to actually face down their own hypocrisy. The point that I\u2019ve been making about his wife is that he believes in a political philosophy that says that some people are somehow more American than others.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naturally, this bizarre justification received no pushback from Collins.<\/p>\n
