Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is reportedly profiting from his viral interview with Jesse Watters.<\/p>\n

Despite not really providing answers about his stance on cultural issues impacting Americans today, particularly those important to the far-left activists who support DSA candidates, El-Sayed still managed to get a boost in fundraising.\u00a0Puck reported<\/a> that the campaign received a 30% spike in donations in the three days following the interview\u2019s airing, compared to the three days prior, with much of the money coming from unique, first-time donors.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t hurt that Watters spoke fondly of the aspiring senator following the on-air clash that even included a question about whether the host had been circumcised<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually like Abdul. I probably shouldn\u2019t like him, but I do. I think he\u2019d be a terrible senator and he\u2019s a little bit of a lunatic. But at least he\u2019s not your typical stiff,\u201d Watters said following the interview.<\/p>\n

The moment even got some praise from MS NOW co-host Mika Brzezinski.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was some great sparring there that I thought was healthy, and needed more for Democrats to step up, go on Fox News, for Fox News to have Democrats on. And by the way, for different points of view to show up on all of the networks that people watch. So, I thought this was really actually constructive. It was a little hard to watch at times. But at the same time, I commend him for going on, and I commend Jesse Watters for having him. And I hope there\u2019s more of it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

While this is unlikely to be a game-changing moment that will help El-Sayed beat Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., in November, it is definitely benefiting the DSA candidate in the short term.<\/p>\n

Some people took issue with the candidate\u2019s lack of willingness to put his position on things like transgender athletes in women\u2019s sports on the record during his Watter\u2019s interview.<\/p>\n
